Fighting

Can someone tell me when Iggy became an enforcer. In the game against Colorado, Iggy received 2 minutes for instigating, 5 minutes for fighting, a 10-minute misconduct and a 2-minute unsportsmanlike conduct totallying 19 minutes.

He apparently he got the 10 minutes for fighting with a visor. Why didn't Iggy get that in the Edmonton game. Didn't he fight with a visor in that game as well.

Doug Weight pulled off 38 minutes on one play a few years ago, didn't he? Sometimes guys just snap. Look at Comrie's occasional misconduct.

I believe it was 39min if I recall properly and Marchment purposely went knee-to-knee on him(they were friends too) I thought Dougie handled it quite well I would of grabbed a goalie stick off the bench and swung it at his head, he just gave him a tinsy weensy cross-check to the face .

I think Iggy is just trying to get himself and his line some more space out there, but I wish he'd take off the visor before he does and stop picking up misconducts for it.

But he didn't get a misconduct in Edmonton when he fought Cross with a visor but he did tonight. Shouldn't he have received a misconduct on Saturday as well for fighting with a visor.

You only recieve the extra 10 minute misconduct if you instigated the fight (with a visor).

There was no instigator in the Cross fight, and therefore no misconduct to Jarome.

the colorado guy dropped an elbow on him when he was sliding into the boards, so Iggy started throwing punches. He's just taking care of himself.

when you get a 2 minute instigator, you automatically get a game misconduct (which is counted in your pim totals as 10).

In actual fact, he got the instigator, fighting, game misconduct penalties, and something for unsportsmanlike conduct, which may have happened during the play.

But based on what you guys have been saying, if it were true that you get an extra 10 minutes, it would have totaled 29 minutes on the play.

2 for instigating, 2 for unsportsmanlike due to instigating the fight with a visor, 10 misconduct for instigating and 5 for fighting. Pretty simple. No 2 minute unsportsmanlike against edmonton because there was no instigator in the fight.

Damn.

I knew it had SOMETHING to do with the visor though.
