Greer by a very small margin.

This is my toughest choice. Between Greer, Meloche, and Bigras it's a very tough choice. Ultimately went with Greer because he's IMO a little further along in development then Meloche and a little close to NHL ready. While Bigras is just a small step down from the other two because he's struggled the last year or so to take that next step.

This it will go Greer at 4, Meloche at 5, and Bigras at 6 for me.

Bigras by a nose. He's not the flavor of the month anymore after last season, but his upside as a top 4 D still exists, and he's closer to the NHL than Meloche. Not to mention LHD is a much greater position of need now. I think next year he's going to redeem himself in a lot of people's eyes.

I'm not down on Bigras but I just think Meloche has a higher ceiling.

Bigras for me. I like Meloche a lot. I've seen him lots, but I just like Bigras more.

Just curious, what do people see in Bigras to rank him above Greer, let alone Meloche? I've been rather disappointed in his development so far, but I admit I haven't followed it closely since he reached the AHL.

Between Bigras and Greer for me. Bigras was viewed higher than Meloche coming out of junior with his 71 point season. Difference being Bigras has been tested as a pro, and had some injury setbacks, while Meloche hasn't been tested yet. Hard to give Meloche an edge over Bigras simply because he hasn't faced the same test.

Gave the edge to Greer since he's looked more promising in the NHL so far. I still have high hopes for Bigras though. I think in the end they'll have similar impacts.

Meloche and Bigras both have top 4 potential, but I prefer Meloche for one simple reason...

...the dude is MEAN and has a nasty streak to him. Woody seems like he would setup a picnic for you in the corner, Meloche is the guy who dumps a disabled person in the lake and runs off with the wheelchair. Ignore his headshot suspensions.

Offense, skating ability, size, and nastiness? Yes please.

Dude stands up for his teammates big time, too. Love it.

Meloche and add Henry

Meloche's game is just much more complete than Bigras and has the size to sustain a beating(he's usually the one giving the beating though). I'm still high on Bigras as well as he's my next guy after Meloche but to me there is already a gap between them.

This. I still like Bigras a lot and if we don't acquire another LHD through trade; or draft one next summer; I'd be happy with Bigras riding shotgun to Makar. But Meloche just has a higher ceiling and a Zads-Meloche pairing could quickly become one of the most hated units around

Bigras, he's shown he can play in the top 4 in the NHL.

He has? He was sheltered pretty heavily and got crushed in terms of possession two years ago, and before he got hurt that year, when playing with EJ, was making some big time mistakes. This is definitely a big year for him.

This one is tough, could see it going any way. I'm not convinced of Greer's offense translating to the top 6 in the NHL. I'd tend to go Meloche because I could see his game translating well in pro hockey.

Bigras for now because I hope he rebounds and comes into camp better than ever. Ask me after camp and I will either say I was right or I was about 2-3 spots too high on Bigras. He has a chance to solidify himself this year or start getting passed by other prospects coming up.

Add Shvyryov
