I want to say Bigras but I'll go with Timmins because he's newer and shinier.

Bigras ends his slide here for me. He's still a good player.

Timmins is too raw and too far away from the NHL to be considered above Bigras here.

Bigras. His concussion likely dropped him a spot, but with his high IQ, smooth skating and longer period of success...expecting a bounce back. Timmins is close as well, but based on a small window ranked him lower.

I'm starting to like our prospect pool. Feels like there is some really solid depth. I have had to think who to pick every time I have voted (except when Makar was gone).

We need one high end LD prospect and a very good goalie prospects and I'm very happy. I wish Oettinger had dropped to our #32 pick. Well, that wasn't going to happen.

I went with Bigras this time. I guess add Shvy, his talent has been hyped a lot.

I like Bigras and Meloche, but y'all are sleeping on Greer.

I'm going Greer because I have a bad feeling about Bigras. I hope he proves me wrong but I'm just not sure about him anymore.

I disagree with that. I'm a fan of Greer, I was defending the pick and stating his talent level from the very beginning. The pool is just deeper at this point. I get having different players up top as everybody's evaluation is different, but it isn't an insult that Greer will end up in the 6-8 range, it just shows the depth the organization has built up.

Precisely why I went with Timmins over him. I'm just not sure about Bigras' top-4 potential until he proves otherwise again. Whether Timmins has that isn't a sure thing either but as a new prospect he hasn't had time to cause concern.

Biggie until he wins it. Interesting that we will have 3 D in our top 5 this year. Remember when Siemens was the only D in our top 5?

I like the new toys too but Shvy showing interest in NA is still going to be a pretty big hurdle. No question the talent but when judging potential NHL impact I do think it's a relevant factor. I like Timmins but don't think he's a better talent than Bigras and Meloche were when they were drafted, keep in mind he already had his 18 year old season. I like that he can play pro faster but he's already had the time to take a step. He's 3 days away from being part of the 2016 class and where would he have been drafted then when he put up 13 points?

It might take more guarantees to get these Russian kids over, but outside of Gusev and Sorokin, have any others elected to stay in the KHL in recent years? We all know I'd be voting for the kid now, but I think most are just wanting him added to the list at this point and he will probably be voted on after 10... that seems appropriate given the risk/reward.

IMO the age factor is way overblown. Talent is talent regardless, and no two kids develops physically at the same rate between 16-19. There are early bloomers and late bloomers all the time.

Man if we could just get Dahlin in next years draft our back end starts to look rather deep with prospects.

In 3 years having lines of:

Dahlin(21)-Meloche(23)
Zadorov(25)-Makar(22)
Bigras(25)-Mirionov(25)

On paper looks pretty darn good to me. Fingers crossed!

I love Greer, but I can't take a top 9 winger who may never be a top 6er over a top 4 dman. Same reason I'll be voting for Timmins ahead of Greer next round...and voted Meloche ahead of Compher two spots ago...

Dahlin or McIsaac would be just too perfect...though in 3 years Timmins should be in that third RD spot ahead of Mironov, so it's even sexier

Personally I have 4 D in my top 5, but 4 in our top 6 isn't too bad at all. We need a top end LHD and our organization will be loaded with young defensive talent...if we can develop it...

When we're sure he'll come over, he jumps right into our top 5; until then I just don't know how you factor the risk/reward into his ranking against prospects that he's clearly more talented than like Compher/Greer but at the same time is far less likely to actually make an impact in colorado.
