RDS.ca poll

huh? why in the world is Rivet's name in this? Best season in his career, on pace for 35-40 points and he is considered a dissapointment on the season?

Qui est la plus grande déception chez le Canadien cette saison?

Résultats

Radek Bonk (9%)

Saku Koivu (4%)

Mike Ribeiro (13%)

Craig Rivet (1%)

Richard Zednik (73%)

Who makes up the polls ? I've not heard a negative word about his season from anyone on their broadcasts.

Chalk it up to force of habit, I mean why let results and facts get in the way of a preconceived notion.

Idiots - What about Dandenault? And why was Theodore not there? He's hands down the biggest disappointment.

Countless players had worse seasons than Rivet! Or Koivu for that matter.

Koivu and Rivet? They only made this poll because they dislike Saks and Craig.

No. Koivu has been a disappointed for a long while. He is playing better now, but during a long stretch he wasn't doing anything except hooking and holding the opponent's stick.

Rivet, tho, I don't understand.

Koivu might finish the season leading this team in points...

Well, he only got 1% of the vote. Maybe the poll was designed to isolate certain disappointments. If Theodore and Ribeiro and whoever was included, the results would be split 3 way, and we wouldn't have the dramatic 73% statement that Zednik has disappointed the most. Just a theory.

And your point is? It's pretty much expected of him that he finishes the season leading in points, but you have to admit that he wasn't playing well during a long stretch.

Exactly. They made this poll very easy to identify which answer they wanted to achieve. Poor use of skew .

No matter what the options are , aside Theodore , Zednik is the most dissapointing player for sure .

I suppose you thought Perezhogin wasn't a disappoinment . Wait , let me guess, he didn't get enough ice time right?
Sundstrom?
Bonk? oh that's right, 4 goals in 2 games makes everything ok .
Bulis? was good, faded into nothingness
Even though Theodore is gone , he should have been in this poll .

My question is why RDS felt the need to throw out a ****basher poll like this when the team is on a winning streak and gettting into the playoffs ... why not have a poll on the most surprising player instead?
On second thought nevermind, they'd probably have Patrice Bergeron on the list

The names on this list should be:
Ribeiro
Zednik
Dandenault
Bonk
Kovalev (the only debatable one, IMO, but he needs to be here ahead of the other options)

Almost never go on that site, but I did last night and that poll pissed me off. 6 game winning streak, yeah let's delve into the not-so-good of this season.
