Not for his offensive output, but Chris Higgins comes to mind..

Or andrei Markov, possibly.

In 2011?

I will say Carey Price. Markov is a possibility too.

I pray to Saku it's Markov.
Also Koivu will be 36 in 5 years and might have some hockey left in him and Kovalev can play until he's 50.

Higgins could be our most important-heart and soul-carry the team on his back type of guy but I hope he's not the "best" we have.

I tend to agree with that. It will be a big name FA who will want to come and play for the Habs after we win the Stanley Cup.

I'd say Perezhogin will be the centrepiece of our offense, but I think the most important player will be a goalie, so hopefully Price.

I think Higgins and Markov are both already stellar,

But I have hopes that this team has atleast SOMETHING better in the wings.

Latendresse

Plekanec should be up there as well, provided he steps up to one of the top two lines can be a dominant player IMO.

It's a toss up between Kost, Perez, Markov and Price.

It will definitly be one of them.

Komisarek has improved by leaps and bounds this season. Even Markov was pretty inconsistent at Komi's age. A few more seasons to mature, and Komisarek will be a legit #1 on this team. Komisarek will be the man for the future Habs.

According to you guys, what are Chris Higgins upside... If he reaches is Full potential, you would compare him to who? Gagné, or am I a bit to optimistic?

I believe it will be Kostitsyn for some reason I have a lot of faith in him.
He will be even better if his brother can turn out to be a diamond in the rough and make the Habs on day.
Although Markov could continue to progress and put up some big numbers from the blue line.
