Perezhogin Officially A Bust?

Would you guys say Perezhogin is officially a Bust, or can you guys see him solidifying a role in the top two lines sometime in trhe near future.

I heard rumours that he is going back to Russia After The Year Is THis true ?

Do you see his value going up, or down in the next couple of months ?

Perezhogin is not a bust. And frankly I don't think he ever will be. He's a 22 year old rookie. He has had a hard time with consitency which ultimately has led to him being demoted, promoted, benched and whatnot. But I think, that in time, he could become a great 1st line winger.

Well, He seems like he may be leading a path similar to Chistov.

Too early to claim Pez is a bust...

He will get better, guaranteed.

Yah, Good Call..
_________

What i mean is "Trade Value" Remember how Brendl had 9.0B on HF and kept on underperforming until he was pretty much worthless.

So do you think Perezhogin's "trade value" will go up or down. And PLEAAAASEE try to be as un-biased as possible.

well if you already have your... answer, dont ask for our opinion.

but here is my anyway.. perezhogin as lots of skills, and he did many good things this year, talent and workethic are there.. but its a matter of putting it together.. i do believe he could explode next year.. as many, many, many rookies in the nhl do after a rough first year.. is Parise a bust? was Staal a bust? was perezhogin a bust in the ahl after a 1st half where he didnt do sqat and then explode at the end of the year... playoffs are a new season... honestly who knows what he could do.. i have still high hopes on him... my tought his that he could produce anytime, in 2 weeks or in 1 or 2 years.. but he has qualities that simply cant be overlook in the NHL that why, i am very optimistic, he wont be a chistov.. and chistov.. was a 3th or top 10 draft pick.. Perezhogin was a 25th pick or close too.

Agreed, but perhaps one could say his being demoted, promoted, benched and whatnot has made it hard for him to find consistency. Either way, he is just a young rookie and there's no reason for us to give up on him just yet.

Give him a couple of years before asking anything like this.

I think they are keeping him in the lineup so he wont go back to Russia where he could get a regular shift, its wayyy to early to say if this guy is a bust though he has shown signs of life at times, like any rookie he needs to work on his consistancy.

Not every rookies can have a great first season. Perezhogin was pretty good for a while, but right now, he's average, but not bad. Is he a bust? Way to early to tell...but IMO, he will be an NHL player. If it's not with us, it will be with another team.

His value is probably still high right now...but the Habs will probably not trade him.

And do you remember hor Naslund was playing in his first few years in North America? Yep, he wasn't really good...but in Vancouver, he became a superstar. I'm not saying that Perez will be as good, but he will probably take more time to become a good regular player.

A bust ?? Damn come on... are the Sedin twins busts (even if alot are underhyping them) ? What about Naslund and Bertuzzi ???

He's just a young guy waiting to get some icetime, and by the way Bulis and Zednik are playing, I think next year will be his...

A bust ??????????

Well Not many people have been pleased with his play, hes getting under 10 minutes a game, been down to the AHL due to his lack of scoring and putting his skills together.

And also SUPPOSEDLY is going to Russia after the year.

One poster commented "he will be an NHL'r for sure, must maybe not with the Habs" ...

Hes a BUST if he doesn't reach his potential which was originally a first liner, now i guess we can let it slide with a top 6 forward, but if hes getting 3rd - 4th line minutes the rest of his career he is no doubt a BUST.

He is a ROOKIE. You can't judge him on 1 season. This might be a valid arguement a few years down the road, but not now.

Because everyone is like "lad-de-da, Perezhogin is fine and you suck for even thinking he is a bust. Perezhogin will be a future star la-de-da im a homer..."

Without really looking at the THREE PART of my question. Sheesh.

on Avangard Omsk official web site, they said that he got back to Omsk to settles personal stuff and that he talking with Avangard Omsk's president for a couple of hours about his 3-years NHL contract will end this year

they don't officially said they were talking about him going their next year,
the journalist ask him if the talk he had result of an contract offer and accepted him. Perezhogin answered the everything is possible, including this but that right now he is serving his current contract with the Habs

Perezhogin also said that if he goes back in Russia, not saying next year, it's only with Avangard Omsk, it's not really clear for that part, but it look like he said that isn't going back in AHL next year
