Has anyone ever herd of P.Bure

because i hate to say this but, rumour has it bure may hang up his
skates.doctors have already told him if he continues he might not be able to walk when he's 50.to many knee and leg injuies
sounds alot like Saku
I hope to god i'm wrong!

All I know is that he didn't past the healty checkup of the NYR before the start of the training camp, if I remember correctly, it seems that his knee was the problem.
I won't be surprise if he retire

What are you talking about? Bure has had like 4 reconstructive knee surgeries, he has like no ligaments left in his knees. Koivu injured his knee a few times, but never needing surgery as much as Bure has

I think what he`s trying to say is that both players have chronic knee problems and Koivu might also have to retire early. And why not??? I mean the guy has missed a chunk of the season with a knee problem basically every year he`s been with the habs. There`s a pretty good chance he will one day require career ending surgery. I sure hope he dosn`t but you could make the case that him and Bure are comparable.

Koivu will be back this season, but we'll probably never again see Bure in an NHL game.

By the way, insurance will cover 80% of his $10M salary, luckily for the Rangers, awho would otherwise be up to an $85M payroll.
