I'm from Montreal and planning a trip to NY on May 5,6 and 7. Hopefully the Rangers will be playing at home during that time and my friends and I wanted to take shot at getting some tickets. DOes anybody know when they go on sale?
The Rangers website has a graphic saying that details are coming soon. I just got an email from the Rangers saying that additional playoff tickets will be made available to season ticket holders. I'm not sure how many tickets will be made available to the general public.
I guess its hard to say, but would you pretty much say that unless waiting outside MSG for hours before they go onsale us non season subscribers are pretty much out of luck????
X number of tix are earmarked for the Garden box office, X number for Ticketmaster. I'd guess you'd have an equal chance with either although, in my experience, waiting outside of a venue box office yeilds pretty poor results for the time and effort invested.

I just bought my tickets on stubhub.com for game 1 April 22nd at the Garden. They have a lot of tickets for sale. Ranging from 150 per ticket all the way to 750 per seat....still lots of good ones left. GET EM NOW BEFORE THEY GO UP.
well there aren't 18,200 subscription holders so we should be ok.
there aren't 18,200 subscription holders but there are probably atleast 10,000 (rough guess) and those 10,000 will all have a chance to order tickets on the pre-sale for either friends or to resale on ebay (which would be a deck move)...but then think of how many non-season ticket holders you have. when the rangers won the cup i think something like 2-3 million at the parade...so if after season ticket holders and corporations get their hands on tickets you might be talking about 5000 seats between 2 mil people so i'd get in line early if i was you.
