Little did I know she'd sit right next to Todd Burtuzzi (almost Hab ) and his wife. She said he wouldn't stop playing with his hair and at first thought he was a mental patient. By the end of his coffee his hair was sticking up on both sides like Wolverine.

When I was a kid, my mother once took me on an Open House of Roley Melanson's home in Moncton years back. I think she also sold Pat Burn's Father's house.

I know, not much to work with lol

Doesn't money have to be involved if it is to be called work?

When I was at Concordia, that's back when I was still living in Montreal, me and my frat brothers would hangout at Cheers on McKay. We use to run into lots of players. Turner Stevenson, Mark Recchi, Brian Savage, Saku Koivu, Aaron Asham and Terry Ryan. I actually got into a tussle with Asham. I was heading up to the pool table area and he said "This is a private party." And he shoved me. Well, one of my frat brothers was a bouncer at the time and told Asham to lay off me or he'd through him out.

I met Peter Popovich at my uncle's restaurant that was on the corner of de Maisoneuve and Guy. (It's now a Tim Horton's). I also met Dennis "Oil Can" Boyd (back when he was with the 'spos.)

I also had a class at Concordia with PJ Stock's cousin.

Ok, he wasn't a hab at the time, but I'm sure you'll find this relevant. In April 2004 I was at Marlowe's in the West Island (little cafe/bar). Just got there and had to use the bathroom, and when I came out to the bar where my brother was ordering me a pint to my right, I noticed Guy Carbonneau standing at the bar to the left of me(!). The Stars had just been eliminated in the first round by the Avalanche (and Aebischer, incidentally), and he was back for a while on Ile Bizard. I whispered to my bro that it was him and he gave me this weird look. Turns out that, while I was in the bathroom, the following exchange took place:

My brother: "People ever tell you you look like Guy Carbonneau?"
Carbo (with a smirk): "Sometimes."

After introducing ourselves as fans as calmly as possible (me trying not to gush), we wound up talking hockey while leaning against the bar sipping pints for the next 45 minutes or so. I was so impressed with how friendly he was, and how genuinely interested he was in chatting about hockey -- he's a true fan. We talked about the playoffs, Gainey, life in Dallas, his daughter and her hubby, and...Steve Begin! I was saying how impressed I was with Begin's energetic play and how refreshing it was to have a real character guy like that on the team. Carbo said that a lot of teams had been interested in his services during that offseason, and, naturally, I said "Like who?", to which he responded "Like us!" Anyway, definitely a really cool guy and an equally cool experience for this Habs fanboy.

Guy is one of my favourite habs of all time. Honestly, Carbonneau and Gainey are probably top 3 for me.

And gainey is gonna be in my neighborhood on sunday for an event, so maybe ill *happen* to bump into him.

I actually met Jeffrey Loria once at a baseball game. It took all my self control to not punch him in the face

I talk to Patrick Roy a couple of time since 3 years in Quebec City where I work.

Same thing with Mathieu Garon, but since 2 years.

I also take a couple of beer with Simon Gagné and Patrice Bergeron.

PS: Sorry for my english.

Your english is fine!

When did you have a beer with Simon Gagné? How did it happen? Was it with Bergeron and Gagné at the same time? Are they friends?

Bergeron goes at the same school than a friend of mine and when I go to a bar in Quebec City, don't remember the name, she presented me to Patrice so we began to talk.

For Gagné, it's because he's training near where I work and I see him here with my boss and my boss ask me if I want to go taking a beer with them, so I say yes.

For Bergeron and Gagné, I don't know if they are friend but they lives near Quebec City (Ste-Foy for Gagné and Ancienne-Lorette for Bergeron).

Gagné, Garon, Bouillon, Chouinard (Éric) and Bergeron are training togheter during the summer...

I met Linden (ex-hab) a couple of times at Kitsilano beach in Vancouver, he lives there, and once at a GM dealership from where he bought his Hammer. Very nice guy, he asked me if I was a Canuck fan and if wanted his autograph. I told him that I am a Habs fan and thanks but no thanks for his autograph...he smiled and he told me the Habs fan are hardcore.

Hey......I lived in Montreal for 6 years....and have always wondered. Why does every francophone apologize for their english? Don't apologize. There is nothing to apologize for......it's nice to hear your comment......period. Thank you.

P.S. You should hear my french....even after all those years in Montreal.

Hmmm, let's see.

Met Carbo and Damphousse in the early 90's at the club that's now Orchid. Forgot what it was called back then.

Met Odelein at the Dome in 94.

Met Malakhov at a downtown store in October of 95.

Met Savage at Club Crescent. Big loser who tried to pick up the girl I was picking up. He got rejected and so did I.

And met the entire 96-97 Canadiens for a contest that the pee-wee team we were coaching won. Surprisingly Tucker was the coolest with us coaches while Bure was just a plain dick to everyone. Hell he didn't even come with the team, his wife dropped him off. Koivu and Moog were the most popular with the kids.

Which does your friend go.. cause I'm going to the Séminaire des Peres Maristes and Patrice Bergeron came like 2 years ago as the "invité d'honneur" for our "gala méritas" in sports. I didnt get to talk to him, but he was cool.

He used to go there so that's why they invited him, I think it was the year they got eliminated by the Habs also...
