Carey Price Interview (From Pipeline Show, TEAM1260)

Since this is a prospect site, I thought some of you would be interested in hearing from Carey Price.

Guy Flaming, the Oilers HF writer, hosts a 2 hour radio show every Monday on the TEAM1260 (Edmonton). This upcoming week (April 10), Guy will have Carey Price on the show, asking him questions from how the season went, to what he is doing this summer.

This show is great, and Guy will actually take questions from you guys for Carey, if you call in 1-800-243-1945 (Toll Free). You can also e-mail the show your questions for Carey at pipeup@thepipelineshow.com. The interview will also probably be archived thereafter.

You can listen to the show live at www.thepipelineshow.com (or www.cfrn.com) on Monday night from 9-11 PM EST. Carey is expected to join the program during the second hour (10-11 PM EST).

I hope you guys take the opportunity to listen. I'm definitely looking forward to it, and excited to see what kind of questions you bring.

Thanks for the information! I fired off 3 questions for Carey Price, so hopefully he'll answer at least one of them.

Good start to the questions everybody, merci!

We'll try to get to as many of them as possible, we're only going to have about 10-15 minutes max with Carey from about 8:05 Edmonton time, but feel free to call and we'll see if we can get you on the show.

I'm not going to e-mail it because I'm sure it already had been done or tought about. If not, asked him the whole story about it please.

It was rumoured that Price was set to make Team Canada at the WJC to either compete with Pogge for the starter job, or at least back him up.

Allegedly, Price then informed Coach Sutter that he does not practice on gamedays, which is what resulted in his being cut.

Yeah, the Team Canada cut thread was covered here previously:

http://hfboards.com/showthread.php?t...ht=Carey+Price

Personally, I doubt Price will answer this one. There's a good chance that Sutter will be back as the Team Canada coach for 2006-07, and there's no good that will come out of answering this rumour if it's true.

I think this info went public and it could be good for him to admit that he made a mistake.

The show will be archived if you can't hear it live, so don't worry, there will be plenty of opportunity to discuss what is said.

Also, its interesting that you are from New Brunswick, as is Guy Flaming.

I heard that Sutter held an optional practice and Price was the only one who called in and said he wasn't coming, so he got cut

Good one I agree, but he still doesn't speak French, maybe we should just trade him or something.... I'm joking don't close that thread...........

Yes, it was asked thanks!!!! I know it was a tricky, stupid question, but it was probably more a statement than a question, 'cause that's how I feel ( question about him being traded to a better team for his development, same path Pogge had....)

But I knew already that he couldn't answer it that much, 'cause if he had, it would mean,'' I know my team sucks so I want out''......But if he's not traded, lets hope he has a much better Tri-City team next year.

And you'll notice that I did ask the question about not practicing on game days and the WJC and Brent Sutter... happy with the answer Carey gave?

It was a great interview, thanks a lot for it.

For that question, to me it sounds like the story about the WJC is mostly true, but that Carey didn't really want to address it, or blame Sutter or anything.

What I liked even more is that he says he's willing to change just about anything to be better, and reach his goals.

The ending was too funny also .

"How many French phrases have you mastered?"

"Uh... Neuf."
