I've seen some teams that look great on paper not win a game in the playoffs, and some that looked like they should be a cakewalk go very deep into the playoffs.

In the AHL anything can happen.

Hopefully they don't pull it together, they've been in a slump down the streatch and have watched the MilAds pass 'em by.

From my limited AHL knowledge, I'd say a lot of that has to do with Harding getting called up to the Wild.

Don't count out Portland. Especially if they get Getzlaf & Perry back from the Ducks.

Don't count out WBS too. They will be adding Fleury and Whitney and maybe Endicott too a lineup that strong and deep.

Kolanos and Taticek have recently been added and both are playing well. Especially Kolanos who has been rot hot.

Kolanos - 15 games 9 goals 7 assists

Taticek - 14 games 4 goals 3 assists

I suppose that would be the case, but Milwaukee has been w/out Scottie Upshall (permanent call-up), Shishkanov (trade), Jordin Tootoo (call-up), Shea Weber (permanent call-up), and replaced them with a bunch of UHLers. Point being, all of the AHL teams go through it.

Bridgeport is getting 6 back from the Islanders

Norfolk receiving half a dozen from Chicago.

Bears getting 1 back from Washington.

Just the way it is in the AHL.

I can't imagine that the Griffins coach was too happy to see that he got involved in a fight last night though. That could haven ended any Calder Cup dreams that they might have had.
