I hope they keep Brashear - Richards - Kapanen together and boot Savage to the fourth line.

Beats the hell out of having him centre Savage... that's just cruel.

You guys can have this game. Losing to you hopefully helps us from seeing the Devils in the first round.

Why, the Devils aren't a tough first round opponent. I would welcome them in the first round.

For us they are

I'd rather let NY or you guys (if you catch NY) take care of them...

If the Flyers lose this game and end up having to play the Sabres in round 1, I expect no less than the Sabres to win in a sweep.

I'm not picking the Flyers to beat Buffalo until it happens.

Chech the 2000-01 season, where we swept them during the regular season, and then were beaten in six.

What happens between teams in the regular season has very little to do with what happens in the playoffs.

That's nearly 5 years ago now. This is a different time and Buffalo has the kind of team that is a lot like Tampa was 2 seasons ago.

If we gotta play a team with as much team speed as Buffalo has, and as long as they're playing well and we're backing into the playoffs, I expect a quick exit.

It didn't matter that it was Buffalo, the point was the playoffs are a different beast.

In the early 80's we used to beat the Rangers like a drum all season long, and then come playoff time we lost 3 of the 5 series.

In 2004 we lost all 4 to Tampa, and if Ragnarsson doesn't break his hand, we win that series in 6 games.

At this point, Buffalo isn't playing any better than we are, and are having the same discussion regarding goalies that we are.

Bottom line is that if we can manage to stay healthy and play our best we're beating anyone ... and if we don't play well we can lose to anyone. Who we're playing really matters very little.

Well, therin lies the problem. We can't stay healthy and we can't put in a consistent effort for 60 minutes. We try to score 4 goals in any given period and hope nothing happens in the other 2. Play on the ice dictates it, and right now I see no reason why that trend will change, it's been the story since the turn of the calendar.
