hi, there are italian born hockey player with talent, but IMO in the next years we dont see any playing in the best leagues
Michele Strazzabosco (
http://www.eurohockey.net/players/sh...gi?serial=7894) was in NHL Camp for Buffalo last summer, but returned to play for Milan
goalie Thomas Tragust was also in the same Camp and he has maybe the best possibility of all italian players to play in the NHL in a few years. He plays for Texas Tornado in the NAHL (

Buffalo Sabres Goalie Coach Jim Corsi (he played for the Italian National Team and in the Italian League) has a look at him since many years and he gave him the possibility to play in North America.
Armin Helfer (
http://www.eurohockey.net/players/sh...gi?serial=7917) have had also the chance to go to the Buffalo Sabres Camp last summer, but he had no interest. he is the best defensmen in the italian league and maybe next year he go to play in a better league, like the german DEL.
Roland Ramoser (
http://www.eurohockey.net/players/sh...cgi?serial=940) has made the best career of all italian born hockey players. he played a few games in the QMJHL and WHL when he was 18 years old back in 1990, then he returned to Italy, playing for one of the best teams, the Milano Devils and the HC Bolzano. After this he played for the Nürnberg Ice Tigers and the Kassel Huskies. He was and is a good power forward, who can score, hit and fight.
Leo Insam
(
http://www.eurohockey.net/players/sh...cgi?serial=909) is the 2nd player who plays in a better league then the italian. He played for Klagenfurt in the Austrian 1st Division and for the Düsseldorfer EG in the DEL
2 other young italian born goalies are playing in the States, Martin Ausserhofer for the Hudson Valley Eagles in the MJHL (
http://www.hudsonvalleyeagles.org/cg...in_Ausserhofer)
and Massimo Camin for the Toronto KinkWild in the GMHL
17 years old forward Marco Insam plays for the Athol Murray college of notre dame, together with Andrea Moser and Andrea Zanatta
