OT: I'm marrying a Devil fan....

....and I couldn't be happier.

I just asked my girlfriend of seven years to marry me, and she said yes. I'm pretty freakin' stoked right now.

At the very least, for her, this should take the sting out of the Rangers kicking the Devils ***** tommorrow.

You should think twice before getting involved in a mixed marriage. I mean, think of how it will affect your children.

Just kidding, congrats!

Your kids are going to end up being Philty fans guarenteed, that's what happens when parents let their children decide what team to root for. I've seen it happen all to many times before.

haha Congrats man, now here's a hint when she asks you to help plan the wedding and pick things out, pick out the most hideous of things that you'll know she'll hate, after a while she won't want your help anymroe!!!

You'll love it. I'm already married to one, and it's great fun.

It also makes the bets on games ... well ... provocative.

I like the way you think!

Thanks for the good wishes guys. In all likelihood, her Devil season tickets would probably make our kids Devil fans, but I'll try to stop it. I'm not sure kids are in our future anyway, but we are planning on 2 cats, and I'll make sure they wear the red, white and blue!

You know, I was thinking of proposing at the game tonight and maybe getting it up on the scoreboard, but I think we might have been booed right out of the building. Oh well.

I second that, F THE ISLES!

Congrats pal...I married a Penguins girl. In fact, the reason we went out on a date was because the Rangers were playing the Pens on a Saturday night back in '96 (Rangers won 9-3). So I asked her if she wanted to go watch the game and grab dinner...5 hours later we were back at my place, got through about 20 minutes of Toy Story, and before I knew it we were on the floor doing the nasty.

9 1/2 years later, we're married with a beautiful daughter who's a Rangers/Panthers/Penguins fan!

Congratulations.

7 years, huh? With all the **** you had to take from a Devil's fan for 7 years, I'd say marriage oughta be a breeze.

Thats perfect. When the Rangers beat the Devs not only will you be happy, but it could get rough in the bedroom.
