Proposal: Comrie/Salo for Bertuzzi & both Sedins

I would accept this deal as I feel we would be getting equal value for Comrie, we could then send Daniel to Toronto and delegate Henrik to the PB to further develop him. After a few months of not being together the twins would realize that they infact are gay and can't live without each other, we can then package them to the Islanders for Niniimma and Hamrlik to bolster our defense.

I dunno... seems a little lopsided in Vancouver's favour... maybe if they threw in the 2010 Olympics, then we'd have a deal.

And pick up half of Bertuzzi's salary. Even $3.5 million is a bit steep for only 50 goals.

I think they should have to build us a canal through all of B.C. and the Rockies so that Edmonton can be a port city too! Then MAYBE we'll be talking.

Not bad, but if we're doing a trade with Vancouver, I think we should try to get Granville Island thrown in, maybe for a late round pick. I really like the seafood market there.

Don't forget, we also have to get Grouse Mountain and the Capilano Suspension Bridge in that trade.

yeah, no ****, I hadn't thought about that, we might as well get them to throw in the new and improved downtown eastside, it may be worth more then the Sedins!

You mean the entire city!

Alright, here's the deal, Oiler fans:

Ales Hemsky, the rights to Maxim Spiridonov, and the big red rollercoaster in West Edmonton Mall, as well as the Sub for the Sedin Twins' girlfriends, a photocopy of Todd Bertuzzi's contract, Dave Nonis (you guys need a new GM - *barb*), and the gondela's up Grouse Mountain.

If we gave up the subs, we would be vulnerable to attack from the sea. No way am I giving up my only naval defences. Our seafront is so big, we need all of the subs we can get.

How about we throw in Routsaleinen and you hand over all of your Swedes?

Okay, but not Leif Rohlin. We need Rohlin. Badly.

Wonder what Sather would give up for the rights to Ruotselainen? Imagine all the fun he could have at waiver drafts if Rexi was a Ranger property!

Also, am I the only one who's quite surprised to hear the Sedins have girlfriends? For some reason, they remind me a lot of that weird college classmate who always talks about his girlfriend that nobody's ever met, and when asked to show a picture, it looks like the picture might have come with the wallet or been cut out of a magazine...

Heh, they've had the same two girls since long before they've come to Vancouver. They moved out here with them.

Actually, I've seen one of them, she was gorgeous. I hear the other one isn't quite as attractive as her, however.

mizral actually brings up something interesting that ive forgotten about for a while. do we still own the rights to maxin spiridonov? because (without looking into it) i think hes hes doing pretty good down in the CIS league. i thought we lost him (or am i thinking of the goalie Fomitchev, who is also doing well)

The Oil did lose Fomitchev, who is quite the dominant goalie in the RSL - he stole the starting job from the clear favorite, Christian Bronsard. He plays for Sibir Novosibirsk, with Alexei Mikhnov. I couldn't find anything about Spiridonov, except one page which said that both he and Fomitchev are still Oilers prospects, but it was from last season.

http://www.russianhockeyinsider.com/ros/010.html

It says it's current, but Fomitchev doesn't play for Amur anymore.
