But i think the punch on Gauthier was not required , score a goal was enuff no ?

Didn't see that goal. But Guerin should know better.

He's been getting pounded by everyone lately.

The dirtiest, most wreckless player in the league. If Tucker or Barnaby did that, you'd have an 8 page thread going about how dirty the play was.

I wouldn't call the punch last night as a dirty play. It was retaliatory for being checked super hard after the score was made.

If you have Tivo watch it again. Guerin scores, starts to raise his arms and the Flames guy checks him hard for scoring.

I think checking someone hard during the celebration for a score is much more dirty the a retaliatory punch.

Jason Arnott has had a huge share in Guerin's current succes, both seem to thrive of each other.

Arnott had the first assist on every goal and popped in the game winner as well. Both have 6 points in the last 2 games and neither Star for except Boucher have been as good as those 2 have been so far.
