Read it here:

And I thought the Bourque stuff was crazy.

I guess drafting Komisarek makes an entire decade disappear, otherwise they would have a wee little apprehension calling another organization classless.

I want Stastny's jersey up in the rafters, BTW.

Classless ? Heh, well you have to give kindergartners a ball to play with. I'm impressed they could spell it.

I would like to see Nordique history remembered as well. I just don't remember why Lacroix said they weren't doin it.

The jerseys are still hanging in the Nords old barn in Quebec City. The Colorado reasoning was that they were moving to a new town and they wanted to have a clean slate.

However, if that were the case, why carry over the records? Why not really make it a clean slate (ala the Rockies moving to NJ)? Personally, I don't think Goulet's and Stastny's jerseys should be hanging in Pepsi Center, but they should be officially retired. Obviously Michel Goulet isn't bitter about the situation since he works within the organization.

Just because he works within the organization doesn't mean he isn't bitter about it.

While I don't think Nordiques sweaters should hang in Pepsi centre, the numbers should be off-bounds for Avs players. Just as a show of respect for the history of the Nordiques. It's not like they aren't enough numbers to go around without having to use the number of Stasny and Goulet.

It is too late to incorperate Nordiques history now. If the organization had done it when the team moved I would have understood it and approved of it but now it would feel weird having the Nordiques jerseys in the Pepsi centre.

Apparently, not bitter enough.

*HIGHFIVE*

I think this is a case of rabble-rousers trying to find something wrong with others.

I'm pretty sure Goulet wouldn't be in the least bitter if he managed to gain a coaching position, and his name on the cup.
