tsn.ca says it'll be effective at the conclusion of this disaster... nifty way to ensure a sell-out, eh?

It could be that he wants to play his last game at home and the Kings only have 1 more home game.

I first began watching/following hockey during Luc's rookie year. I like to think that it was Luc that got me hooked on hockey when I was 10. I kind of feel like I grew up with him. It's a bit of a strange feeling to see him retire now. Kind of makes me feel a little old or something.

Congrats Luc on a HOF career!!! Kings better have a retirement jersey ceremony planned already for next year - #20 better be hanging in the rafters before the end of the 2006 - 2007 season.

Every season ticketholder who received a Robitaille signed jersey this year should wear it on Saturday.

Star Wars fan when I was a kid. That's why Robitaille caught my attention. Wasn't a hockey fan before that(I was only 7 or 8 anyway, so). Then I started watching, saw Robitaille's love for the game, and been a fan ever since. I'll always love that passion he had.

Those two goals in Game 1 against the Habs...so close.

I am assuming this is taking place at Toyota Center. Are these press conferences open to the public? Will the Kings practice after this PC is over?

I enjoyed watching Robitaille's good years in a Kings uniform.

It's really too bad Luc is going out like this. He deserved one last shot at the Cup with the Kings, but it unfortunetaly won't happen. Even though he's retiring, he will always be a King

Maybe Luc can stay with the organization as a skating coach.

Good luck to Luc. I'm glad he could retire as a King.
