Greg Moore Signed

Moore signed Tuesday afternoon with the New York Rangers and will report to the team's American Hockey League affiliate

Moore is expected to join the team Thursday and make his professional debut Friday night when Hartford visits the Providence Bruins
Hartford is sure getting crowded.

Thanks to NYR469 who found this.

Don Maloney was quoted over last weekend saying it was only a matter of time before Greg Moore was signed

Moore signed a two year deal-22 years old

Quote:
Players who sign their first contract at age 18-21 are required to sign three-year Entry Level contracts; players age 22-23 will be required to sign two-year deals; and players age 24 will be required to sign a one-year Entry Level contract
http://www.nhl.com/nhlhq/cba/index.html

Moore probably also signed an ATO to play in Hartford before the entry level contract begins in the summer

Getting awefully crowded in Hartford.

Still, could to have Greg aboard.

Edit: 50 contract limit is going to bite us soon with so many prospects, first time we've been able to think about that in a long while.

I really dont think we have to worry about the 50 limit.

Some guys will probably making the jump next year so the guys they replace will free up spots.

Also some of the older AHL guys who haven't taken the next step will slowly be moved out as well.

Guys like Grenier, etc.

I thought the 50 contract limit was from the old CBA, and is not included in the new one?

Grenier
Hossa
Giroux
Wiseman
Federov
There are so many guys to list that I don't think we will have a problem.

However guys like M-A Cliche just finished their seasons, do you see them playing with the Wolfpack anytime soon.

id rather get something even if its a 6th rounder, maybe we can find another Prucha in the late rounds. Prucha, Lundqvist all late round picks.

I think someone will be willing to give up something. Hossa still has the ability to be a 1st line foward, he just lacks intensity and the ability to finish
