www.sigames.com/ehm or you can click on this link for the "try and buy" section. It's $30.

http://www.sigames.com/downloads.php?type=view&id=251

Bear in mind this isn't your typical hockey game. The closest you actually get to playing the game is if you decide to coach the team yourself. Instead, you manage the game on a much grander scale by being the GM of ANY team in any league on record.

You fools got me playing the game again, though, and once again, the team does poorly. We were second in the entire conference around November, then the team just fell apart (sound familiar?). But, I have a good core of young players on the roster along with some of our other young players.

Kyle Calder
Henrik Lundqvist (it's much harder to get him in the newer patch; the older patch I had let me trade for him with Armstrong and Klatt).
Anthony Stewart

I also have the 1st overall pick along with the 5th overall pick. At the beginning of the season I gambled and traded Grebeshkov and my second round pick for Minnesota's 1st round pick; they ended up being last in the league.

One other question (I may have missed this earlier in the thread, so bear with me): Is there anyway to get updated rosters online? I thought I saw something like that on the website, but I'm not entirely sure if that's what it was. I'm new to computer gaming, so any help would be appreciated.

In EHM 2005.. Its impossible to not get fired when you start with the Kings. Well, I mean.. I try to get to the offseason without making any deals so I can be the guy to 'correct the changes.' But I always have to cheat, and 'add another GM' and re-take over the Kings.

Ridiculous.

What do you mean? You can't start off as being the Kings' GM?

ha, no.

You are just bound to get fired if you dont make changes in the beginning of the year.

I was so addicted to this game for awhile, I started up again and I remembered I am in 2013.

My two best players are Tambellini ( ) and Malkin (Signed him as an RFA for 4 1st rnd picks)

Tambellini was a 50 goal scorer before Malkin arrived, but then really took off and potted 64 goals my last season before I stopped playing.

Tambellini lead the NHL in goals and was 4th in points. Malkin lead the league in scoring, 1st in assists.

I also have a stud Russian d-man who is either a regen of Ray Bourque or Paul Coffey or something.

Name is Boris Dashkov. Only 21 years old, was a Norris Finalist last year. Made the team as an 19 year old his rookie year.

Kopitar, Brown and Frolov all had disappointing careers.

It's really hard to develop prospects that are already on the team

Here's my 2nd season so far. Bear in mind I don't coach the games myself, so the lines aren't exactly how I would make them:

Samsonov - Demitra - Jokinen
Frolov - Laperriere - Svatos
Holmstrom - Kopitar - Calder
Jessiman - Tukonen - Anthony Stewart

Lidstrom - Wesley
Gleason - Mike Green
Mitchell - Salei

Lundqvist
Noronen

I also have Bryan Little (#1 overall pick) and Peter Mueller (#5 overall) in Juniors. My assistant GM signed Boyle early, and he's in Manchester.

Edit: Demitra is leading the team with 18 points in 13 games. Gleason is leading D-men with 13 points in 13 games.

And we're STILL 7-6. I think I need a new coach.

In EHM, the prospects don't always mimic what happened this year to them. For instance, Williams was available in the 6th round for me, and projected by my scouts as a 5-6 defenseman at best.

Little's stats already make him a third liner on the best of teams, and Mueller's got a wicked wrist shot.

But I really, really need to address my defensive depth issues

Gagne - Conroy - Parrish
Sanderson - Umberger - Brown
Bates - Belanger - Kostopolous

Visnovsky - Mitchell
Sopel - Norstrom
Corvo - Gleason

Grahame
Labarbera

I have Kopitar in the minors, but he is doing well.

Didnt see this link anywhere but I did see someone looking for a patch to rename the NCAA guys:
http://ehm.fhockey.com/NHLEHM%20downloads.php

Jayzin database update is the one i use, basically all NCAA prospects renamed along with alot of Euros renamed as well, also if i remeber right renames all the CHL/UHL teams and rosters. The rosters may be a bit out of date but they are still darn good. Theres also a pregame editor availible somewhere but i cant remember were i got it from. The editor is pretty easy to figure out and after a quick trip to NHL.com you should be able to get fairly accurate up to date rosters.

To answer the question about a 2006 version, there wont be, however there will be a 2007 version (which is basially the 2006 version renamed) coming out around the start of the next NHL season. Last i heard they were planning to release it around the time that NHL 2007/NHL 2K7 come out.

If anyone has a chance in the draft, pick up David Dwyer, not sure who he is supposed to be (a 6'0" C/RW played for Minnesota) but he was still around at pick #32 (my 2nd round pick). Left him in college for one more year, then signed him, and as a rookie scored 99 points (39G, 60A) and played 78 games. Already considered a "star" he's by far my most talented youngster.

Sounds like it, you have to keep in mind that alot of the younger guys in the game have random potentials meaning that every time you start a new game the guy will have a new randomly generated ceiling number. So a guy like kessel could be a superstar on one persons game but a complete bust on someone else's. On my game my second line center right now (the 2007-2008 season) is Maxime Boisclair an undrafted overage QMJHL player that i signed solely to get some depth in Manchester, on my friends game hes barely holding on to a roster spot on his ECHL affiliate.

Yes 2006. I thought it might be Kessel too, but the birthdate is not right for him. I figured they'd leave those the same, even without the rights to NCAA players, but who knows.
