Hi Bill

Great articles, especially the piece on the Swedish league.

I don't mean to be picky but you made a small error at the end of your Swedish article regarding promotion and relegation. The Swedish Tier II minor league is not divided up according to North and South, last summer it was rearranged into a league very much like the elitserien.

In fact for next year the Kvalserien(bottom two of elitserien and top 4 of the Allsvenskan) will be decided by a play off format as opposed to e mini league system as it has been lately.

D'oh!

That's what I get for assuming there were no changes. I rarely follow Allsvenkan until the very end, when it's time for kvalserien. Should've learned my lesson from the often-changing formats in Europe (remembering which leagues have best-of-fives or best-of-sevens in certain rounds is something I need to double-check, too).

No North American readers are likely to catch it, but even so-- I want it to be accurate, of course.

Thanks for pointing it out.

Bill

Great reads bill. Thanks. Just wondering, do you have media credentials? I was wonering how you knw about that reporter's experience in the Knuble article. I remember talking to you in the old Chris Sano chat flyers chat room back in 1996. Time sure does fly. Good to see you're still covering the flyers. Always look forward to new articles from you.

Yes. I'm credentialed through Inside Hockey and NHL.com. I'm in the press box for about 10 games per season.
