ill be feeling extra good if he can score one more in the next 2 games. 30 goal scorers are rare here.

We should welcome all goals scored by Ryder because they're in a good cause. Higgins and Ryder are happy when Ryder scores, and so are all of his teasmates. The only ones who have mixed or negative feelings about it are those fans who put their preconceptions about Ryder ahead of the fortunes of the Habs.

Take that you hab fans. thats how I feel when he scores. Honestly these kind of poles shouldent be here, It just to bad how some of you think hes useless. Theres 29 teams that would love his services. Ryder dosent deserve to be on this team actualy, not the way people treat him. I fore one hope he gets trade it and it comes back and bites us in *** like that I can come back and prouve how bad hab fans are at jugeging talent.

As any goal by the Habs
1- hitting the floor 3-4 times with both feet (though, not too loud or my father will call me insane)
or
2- put the hands in the air and (without the head shaking)

Ryder does looks really lost on the ice sometimes... actually a lot of times, but he has something that can't be bought, and he as the talent to put the puck in the net. He his by far the best goalscorer of the Habs. Even if you don't like him, oyu know he is useful cause he can change the game in half a second.

If ryder did suck as much as you guys would think he does bob gainey would of sat him a couple times. The fact that hes never been a healthy scratch when players like bulis zednik and co sit on a reguarler basis and that hes playing on the first line and is still playing there means that he brings something to the team that some fans like the thread starter dont see.

Gainey is type of coach that wont tolerate the cheaters get away with lazyness and poor play, if you look at everyone who's been sat or demoted you can see what type of players he wants. Ryder has won a spot on the first line and has been able to hold on to it since day one. Bob gainey must like his work ethic and what he brings but yet some people are still clueless.

Hey!! Leave me outta this!!

Nowhere in this thread did I say I didn't like Ryder. In fact I've defended him quite a bit and am quite displeased with the treatment he gets here. I agree that he's not having a great season, but he definately has the skills to be successful in this league.

All depends on what kind of a goal it was. If he was just a rebound near the crease. YEAH. But if he takes the puck from the opposition and moves out to the hash marks and roofs it YEAH BABY RYDER IS BACK. As far as seeing others score,,, when Higgins scores I cheer the loudest. This guy is going to be great and I cant see any set backs for him.

Im sorry if I said something you dident like but when I see poles like this I allways see it as a hidden way to bash a player or to bring them down. If you think he dosent get treated fairly by some fans why give fans the opportunity to bash him some more???

It does not necessarily mean that. It was mentioned during this season for a few times that Bob was displeased the way Ryder was playing. He talked to him and told him to pick up his game. I think Bob does want to sit Ryder for two reasons:
1. We don’t have anyone who can substitute him right now.
2. Bob does not want to decrease the value of Ryder by sitting him.

We can still get very good player for him if we trade him this summer.
On the other hand, Bulis is done in Montreal. Ribeiro does not have much value around the league anyway. Either of these implies to Zednik. On the other hand, Ryder is still very valuable asset and if Bob sits him he would make it difficult for himself to get a decent return for him.

Duh

I can't believe any Habs fan would be unhappy to see ANY Habs guy score.

On the other hand, some people are happier to see some score more than others.

Meanwhile . . .

I am certainly happy that Sergei Kostitsyn is 3rd in OHL playoff scoring with 21 points in 9 games. Especially with Bolland on the sidelines for the London Knights.

Well good, me too. But unfortunately, as the poll shows, not everyone feels the same. As Teufelsdreck said, some people put their negative opinions of Ryder ahead of the fortunes of the Habs.

1) Willing to credit Ryder as a reliable scorer.
2) Upset that they're gonna have to find a way to discredit Ryder.
3) Not willing to give Ryder credit at all.
4) Pre-concerned with statistical milestones.

For the record I voted for the 30 goal option. It'll be fun to have a 30 goal scorer.

Bob was displeased with Ryder, he talked to him and told him to pick up his game??? Are you personal friends with Bob Gainey?? Did he call you and tell you he talked to Ryder?? So ryder is going to be traded hey??

I see the Ryder hate from the other thread is now brought over here by you. If you hate the guy, just say so and leave it at that. Don't come here and make statements you cannot verify!!!
