It'll never be broken, ever.

Not with shootouts, it won't

I think it could if there was still ties

The loss that broke the streak was the Flyers' 2nd loss of the season too

One of my favorite in attendance hockey memories was going to the Saturday afternoon game in Boston Garden that broke the former record of 28 games (the next night, at MSG was the infamous Mike Milbury shoe incident -- fight in the stands).

There was a controversial play involving Greg Millen and the Penguins in Game 28 of the Streak. With about five minutes left, Behn Wilson scored, either off his stick or skate (days prior to replays) but the goal counted and the game ended in a 1-1 tie.

The Streak began in the third game of the season. In the second game, the Flyers were walloped in Atlanta 9-2.
