Top end? Who knows. If he has as much skill as have been said about him, then I'd say his top end is 1st line all the way. I may be getting to watch two of his games in the near future, one for sure, but we'll just have to wait and see how he progresses this year. Hopefully he comes over next year, although it wouldn't be so bad if he stays over for one more year. It should be interesting to see what he can do. He is expected to be a major part of this teams future, as we have not had a game breaker in our system in a long time, so hopefully he really is one.

Kosticyn is very overrated. He is about the same level as Perezhogin. Gaborik was dominating in the senior league at this age, Kosticyn can't even crack the lineup. There are a dozen or so players younger than him playing regularly in the RSL. Kosticyn is not even in the top 20 players of his age in Europe.

Kosty is all about raw talent if he develops properly he could turn into a steal.. if not he would turn into a bust ...
but he's IMO at the good place to learn(CSSKA) and would be a star in the future .

Kastitsyn is all about top end potential. I think thats what scouts liked about him so much. He seems to have the raw skills that could see him develop into a really good first line player. There might have been safer picks in last summers draft, but at the number 10 spot there was not another player available with the top end potential he has.

Is there such a thing as a game breaker with no talent?

Gaborik dominated in the Slovakian mens league...a far cry from the Russian Super League. They say that next to the NHL, the RSL is the most competitive league in the world. And the way the RSL works, ice time is based on signority...Zherdev is 4th liner, Glazachev is a 4th liner, Anshakov is a 4th liner, Chernykh is 4th liner....its just the way it works. He is a talent......

Once again, how many times have you seen him play? You didn't answer it last time it was asked, that fact leads me to think you have never seen him play at all. And further that, how much of Gaborik did you see at that age; how much of Perezhogin did you see when he was 18?

well the talent levels vary, and what I meant to say was a game breaker with top notch talent as a game breaker
