End of the 2nd Period
Your Dallas Stars: 1
The Detroit Red Wings: 0

Now these are the Stars I wanted to see the past couple of weeks.

Still 1-nil after 2 periods i thought dallas really blew a few chances to go up 2 and that worries me with detroit putting pressure on. but they played at least as well as detroit overall if not better.

Not much to worry about, stars played well, that's all we can ask for.
Its the same way my Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs weren't awarded a goal back in Game 7 (Overtime) of the Central Hockey League, President Cup Finals.

Thank God it didn't mean that much this time around.

Yea about as good a rule as the "tuck" rule that they changed after the Pats first super bowl.

Is there any way what happened tonight was a positive thing?

Did anyone get hurt? If not, that's a positive at this stage of the season. It was a meaningless game. Maybe there could be a bit of an argument made that it's possible we meet in the WCF and that the winner would have an edge but looking at the minutes played neither team put in a 100% effort. They wanted to get out there, break a sweat, and not get hurt. Chelios looked a bit iffy in the final seconds, but I don't worry about a guy like Cheli. It would take an amputation to keep him out of the playoffs.

True. I'm just furious.

I suppose it could finally click in their heads that we shouldn't try to hold a lead, but increase it.

I'm a little upset over the loss but we didn't have Boucher for all of the third period. They were sitting him because he took a shot in the foot and they didn't want to aggravate it anymore. I'm not going to lose any sleep over this as we will come out strong in the playoffs and hopefully will learn from what happened tonight.

I'm just glad the season is almost over so we can get to the playoffs already!
