Don't agree with you at all on Smyth. He was almost invisible. Didn't accomplish or create anything like our highest paid player should! IMO he has been kinda quiet for a few games, but I guess he's got his points though.

One thing I wish that Salmo would have gotten more ice time! He only got a few shifts! Pretty tough to get noticed when thats the case - he looked good when he was out there I thought.

Isbister did have his best game of the year. I am glad that he did and that is exactly what the Oilers need. Its too bad that Dvorak did'nt capitalize on his many chances. He was by far the best player on the ice tonight. When his game is on he can be such an offensive threat.

York coughed a few pucks over in the defensive zone, none really turning into any threat but, I've seen him play stronger games with less results.

On the Jackets 3rd goal, York had 3 chances to clear the puck and couldn't.

Umm.... let's see where was he, oh there he was putting in the sweet pass from Dvorak. And look, there he is again, the overtime... accepting the pass from Bergeron, making the rush into the Columbus end and sending a pass to Isbister for the game winner. Yah, whew, glad it was only a weak game he played. I wonder what happens when he plays a strong game..

but what about that sweet, sweet headfake on the overtime pass? He completely froze the defenceman and then threaded the pass through the defenders legs right on to Izzy's stick

No one said he didn't make good plays...

But you can get 2 points and still not have a good game.

There's no denying that York has been quite weak when it comes to the defensive zone, last night was no different. Sometimes you have to take the bad with the good though, and last night his good won us a game that this team REALLY needed to win.

Alright, alright...Got me there all I'm saying is that York still hasn't returned to his old form and he still looks dangerous..maybe not as dangerous as DVO but a weapon no less.
