Will be an interesting game to watch. If there ever was a time for Rinne to get some game time, this would be it, although you hate to let Mason cool any with the little streak he has going.

I agree we have ridden our starter like a rented mule all season, no sence in changing now. Let Mason feel the air beneath his wings.

That makes sense....let Markov's ankle and Leggy's knee get some rest before the playoffs....I would expect Trotz to play Suter, Perreault, and Hartnell to evaluate their responses to the recent scratches. I also expect him to play Fids.

per the front office blog:

Head coach Barry Trotz said after the skate that in an effort to get everyone involved, he will be reinserting Yanic Perreault, Scott Hartnell and Vern Fiddler back into the lineup tonight. He explained that the players he sits--and he didn't name names--aren't being pulled based on their play, but simply to create the proper balance for the game. Expect to see Mason in net tonight.

I'm sitting at the GEC right now and during pre-game warmups, I do not see Timonen or Legwand out on the ice....

maybe they are the scratches tonight along with Zidlicky & Sullivan?

Also, Markov IS out practicing on the pre-game skate right now....

EDIT: I don't see Smithson out on the ice either, so who knows? We'll know in about 20 mins who has been scratched... and who really is starting in goal. My gut says Trotz will keep riding Mason...

thanks for the eyewitness updates for us stuck at home.

Can you tell about how many people shaved their head in support of Mase tonight?

if the autograph line at the kids club meeting is any indication of people who are scratched tonight, i'd say smithson, nichol, and tootoo will not play tonight.

I started the year saying "Perreault could be good!"

I went through most of the year saying, "Perreault sucks!"

I recanted, and acknowledged his contribution.

Since injury--I return to my prior position,

Perreault sucks.

Nice PP though. Moving the puck well, Sillinger almost had another one.

Trotz has acknowledged his recent suckiness and wants him to return to his pre-injury form so once again, you can recant and acknowledge his contribution
