People are sleeping on the Sound Tigers. At the end of their season, the Islanders sent down Robert Nilsson, Jeremy Colliton, Sean Bergenheim, Matt Koalska, Jeff Tambellini, Masi Marjamaki, Steve Regier, Bruno Gervais, Denis Grebeskhov, Ryan Caldwell, Alan Rourke and Cole Jarret. This is a totally different team than what we saw down the stretch.

Yeah, but Pittsburgh sent down defensemen Noah Welch, Ryan Whitney and goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury. Whitney and Fleury are being added an already strong team.

Don't get me wrong, the Penguins are still and should still be the favorites to win this series, if not the Calder Cup. I'm just pointing out that at this point Bridgeport is a real wildcard because the whole Isles prospect pool hasn't really ever gotten a chance to play together before.

I know some series have already started, but what can you do?

Portland in 5
Hartford in 6
Wilkes-Barre in 5
Hershey in 4
Grand Rapids in 5
Syracuse in 7
Milwaukee in 5
Houston in 4

Did I just pick all favorites? Hmmm, I believe I did.

Fleury doesn't have to clear waivers to be sent down?

Based on games played and official year of his first pro contract, I do not believe so.

As a side, there is a lot of love for the MilAds in here. Much more than even I give them in the playoffs.
