Don't really know...playoffs only start in the weekend so the players would be alright.

But I would like to call-up Kost and put him and Lapierre in for the last game...can I be Bob Gainey for one night?

I would give a rest to Markov and offer one to Bonk because he seems out of gas ( or maybe that's just the Bťgin effect)

I'd say there is a 4% chance Washington beats Atlanta.

And I give Florida about a 22% chance.

if kolzig plays like he usually does, and ovechkin goes crazy...there's a good chance that the caps can defeat the thrashers.

the panthers are a good team, thrash can't take em lightly either.

Just curious where did you come up with the 4% and 22%?

If Kolzig plays like he usually does against us, than we might as well call up our Minor leaguers. We have rocked him for 8 and 7 goal games this year. Florida has a good chance of knocking us off, and I won't underestimate Ovechkin and 19 other guys with sticks, but I think we have a good chance of winning.

It will likely be a high scoring game between Caps and Thrashers... not much of a defense on either team.

6-4 Atlanta win (including EN)
Kovalchuk scores 2 PPG, his second with 2:17 left in the 3rd for the GWG.
Ovechkin gets a hat trick

Well said. I also think if washington goes crazy, and their goaltender plays amazingly, and if they score more goals than the other team... there's a good chance that atlanta will lose

And if Altanta loses a game, there's a good chance the habs might get a playoff spot

In addition, if I drink all my lemonade... there's a good chance I won't have any left for the next day when I want lemonade very badly and I feel angered which causes my ferocity to awaken thereby going to counselling wherein the counsellor tells me to just calm down and have a nice glass of lemonade

How about Montreal getting a point against Jersey? Get in at your own accord and get a point against one of the hottest teams.

Not really. If the Thrashers win tonight, Montreal must understand how precarious their situation is. Ottawa owned the Leafs all season, but the Leafs came out slamming in the last game and won. (Sure, it was all in vain, and Ottawa had its own troubles, but desperate teams are ... well, desperate.) I'd say the Habs certainly have the ability to play the Devils to a least an OTL.

No, it won't be easy; it's New Jersey. I will still say this: I doubt Atlanta will make it in - they are putting up a good fight but it's still very much an uphill battle. Montreal and Tampa control their own destiny. Atlanta needs the help from other teams, and that is usually not favourable.

Brodeur wants to bury us. The Leafs have always had a psychological edge on the Senators, that's a completely different set of circumstances than what the habs face.

New Jersey will not come out flat, they will come out flying. It's up to us to score the first goal. If we can score 2 I'll be happy.

I am going to assume that Atlanta will win both of their games. They can never be counted out, and their opponents aren't that good.

The odds were stacked against the Thrashers to make the playoffs but win after win the odds have decreased favourably. They now hold their own playoff hopes in their hands.

New Jersey is not Washington.

basically, Cristobal Huet has the give the performance of his life.
If he's not perfect, New Jersey will score first, and things just won't happen

If New Jersey scores first we're finished. The guys have to come out flying. They just have to.

We CANNOT depend on help from Washington and Florida.

Well, Atlanta plays both games on the road:

Atlanta's record on the road: 17-19-3
Washington's record at home: 15-18-7
and Florida's record at home: 24-11-5

I don't think that Atlanta's chances are that good.

I think the bottom line is that the habs need to win their game against the Devs....none of this backing in crap....win your own games

I agree!

Let's see how Montreal performs when their entire season is on the line.
It should be a show of character and determination tomorrow.

Without it, even if they make it as a result of other teams not getting points, the Habs won't go far in the playoffs...
