Had we been able to lock up the division I'm sure we would have saw him for 1 game.

I concur.

I wonder what number he is going to be on the Rangers, i wanna get his name and number on my jersey. Will he be 67 like in pre-season?

As I have stated previously (as someone who watched Staal in person this season on a pretty regular basis), he is not ready for the speed and physicality of the NHL. The move to reassign him to Hartford is really a good thing for him. The Rangers will get him used to the pace of play and see if they can ease him into the professional game.

He definitely won't be 67.

He wore 14 in juniors, although that number is taken on the Rangers.

What's disappointing about Staal...

is that in one breath Renney's talking about the possibilty of Staal playing in the playoffs (not that I believed that was going to happen) and then reality of Staal not playing a game and getting sent to Hartford. I'm fine with that - just didn't like being teased.

When and where did Renney say Staal was going to play in the NHL playoffs? He never did.Renney would have liked to get Staal into a game or two but the Renney wants to win the division so he will go with the guys who brought the Rangers to this point

If anything,I can't understand Renney's emphasis on winning the division. The Rangers are in the playoffs. You gotta be in it to win it.It doesn't matter if you finish 3rd,5th or 6th

I read somewhere if Rangers face Philly then game 1 will be Friday, and Game 2 will be 1:00 Sunday afternoon.

I have no confirmation though.

Possiblity...

didn't Renney said he would - just alluded to the possibility in an answer to a question. It was in the Post and I can't remember the exact exchange.

As far as going with who got them there...Saturday's game included Pock and Ozo, two who you can argue didn't get them there. While it may be unrealistic to see Ozo sit, Pock's another story (although I'm not as high on his recent play as others in here, so I would be in the minority).

Well, I'm a firm believer that pock has never played a good game of hockey in his life.

Yeah. Better for him to play some minutes with some peers.

I'm also thinking the Ranger locker room might not be the most positive place on Earth right now. He's seen as much of that as he probably needs to for the time being.

Kaspar wore 71 in the preseason and then switched to 6.

Having seen Pock play in college on numerous occasions, I was going to argue with you about this point, but i can't help laughing because of the guy in your avatar. Ha Ha... Borat...
