I would have to say that we are done and the Monarchs might actually make it to the next round. Montoya is out and the team looked awful last night, I dont see us forcing a game 7 and then going on to face Portland. Manchester can get their butts kicked by Portland instead of us just like Providence has in their series.

BrokeBack Joe Rullier might make it onto the next round, isnt that just great.

So, since I'm a Bruins fan, I'm starved for playoff hockey. I have a few questions about this series and the AHL Playoffs in general.

1.- Do all the games draw this poorly? I just checked out Ticketmaster for what I could get on short notice and found only one row between me and the glass.

2.- From what I just read, it looks like the Hartford goal situation is in the tank. What about Manchester's? Who's likely to start tomorrow night?

3.- Outside of a total lack of defense, what are the highlights of this series? What can I expect Game 6 to be like?

All playoff games.

My guess is Hauser for Manchester, while Gherson might get another shot for Hartford.

A total lack of goaltending.

For some unexplained reason that has always been an issue in the AHL. Playoff attendance typically rises as teams get deeper into the playoffs, but I don't understand why people don't come to the earlier rounds even in the same numbers that came during the regular season.

Here is an update on the game. Pack lead 2-0 after the 1st period. Goals scored by Genoway and Moore. Holt has looked pretty good as well making 12 saves thru the 1st period.

Lets go Pack. We believe, force a Game 7.

3-1 Wolf Pack with around 3 minutes to go in the 3rd period. Holt has looked awesome. Wiseman made it 3-1. Looks good for the boys. Get ready for Game 7 Saturday, April 29th at 700pm.

Lets Go Wolf Pack!!

You may be mad/sad with either game you choose. Personally, I'd pick the NHL game over the AHL game, but that's just my opinion.

Who is Holt and where did he play this season? Looking at the boxscore, it appears he played a very solid game.

Holt is a goalie out of Vancouver who played 2 years at Nebraska-Omaha and spent most of this season with the Rangers ECHL affiliate in Charlotte

I have the same dilemma....Rangers game 4, or Pack game 7....but it was a rather easy choice. Gotta support the Rangers, im not gonna turn my back on them at this point. Just hope Pack win and then get tix in the next series like I will.

Congratulations to the Pack on a well played series. It certainly appeared that they wanted it more than the Monarchs.

Good luck against Portland...... It isn't going to be easy.

Does anyone actually think Hartford can beat Portland?

Don't see why not. Portland was 6-4 vs HFD this season, and right now HFD has added some very good players(Dubinsky, Staal..and they will be getting back Pock and Immonen now thats the Rangers are done), and Portland has lost some very good players (Perry, Getzlef). Could be a very even series if Holt can continue to give solid goaltending.

1st in the Atlantic vs. 2nd in the Atlantic...the way its suppose to be.

If Ducks lose Tuesday...then things could get interesting if the Ducks start sending players back to Portland

I definetely think we have a chance in this series. The Pack got some good players on a roll now and will be getting help in Pock and Immonen when they return. Portland has lost some key guys to injuries and call ups, but I think we have a shot at winning this series.

Go Ducks in the NHL!! The longer they stay in the longer the Pirates wont have the guys called up.

A homecoming for Greg Moore playing against Portland. Grew up 45 minutes from Portland so this should be interesting.
