Jesus, had three seperate computers going + 2 phones and I never got through, basically only singles left now, which means they basically sold 60 000 tickets for all three dates in about an hour, that's 1000 tickets a minute!!! Crazy!

Well, not quite. Many tickets were sold during the pre-sale which started 2 weeks ago. I got mine then (that was for people that got a special pre-sale code because they had either season tickets or bought 10+ game packs before the season started).

They had reserved a block for today's sale. Not sure how many there actually were but it was much less than 20,000/game.

many of these 60000 were already sold. Apparently the rest sold out in 6 minutes, or so the admission guy said.

Yeah I got mine on two weeks ago with my code. Some very lucky people were able to buy some today but not many.

Makes sense they'd have some pre-sales, is it hard to get season tickets? Can you be a bunch of guys to buy them, I wouldn't mind forking some dough for like 5-6 games a year and know a bunch of my friends could do the same. Do the codes for pre-sales only extend to your season seats or can you buy more?
I still have some hope, my GF works at Fido and they have a bunch of tickets for the employees. Maybe she'll get picked and I'll still get to go!

The smallest you could buy to get playoff pre-sale code was a 10-pack of tickets (1/4 season). When you buy that, you get your pick of games (although many became unavalable if you wait too long) and your seat changes every game. The 20-pack you keep your seat all season and go every other game. IF you want your pick of games, it's best to buy these early during the special period before individual seats come on sale.
(EDIT: As pointed out by Habsruleen, 6-pack tickets also gave you access to pre-sale code).

For either of the partial game packs, you could buy up to 4 playoff tickets per code and they may end up being in different places than your regular season seats (someone correct me if you can actually keep your regular season seat in the playoffs with the 20-pack).

If you have a full season ticket, you have dibs on your own regular season seats for the playoffs.

In all cases for the pre-sale, you have to buy ALL of the potential playoff games (15 games) and pay in advance. You get reimbursed for those that the Habs don't play once they are eliminated. With the pre-sale 15-game packs, you get the same seats throughout the playoffs.

Hope this helps answer your questions.

Yes, there is a way to split season tickets, as I know people who are doing that for next year.

I got my full playoff package during pre-sale. I'm missing the first game for an exam, but I'll be there for the rest, through to the cup final! OUI BELIEVE!

Cool... so you only needed the 6-pack then. This should help Phailak for next year.

Yeah, we got really lucky here at the office. Five people were hammering the site for an hour and only once one of us was able to get through.

The only thing the really sucks is the people who cannot afford to shell out big bucks for the 15 game package (even though you can get some money back) have to rely on the General Public Sale and as we found out today was next to impossiable.

Goes to show how much we all love the Habs.

Pre-sale rocks.

Get a job and buy yourself a 6 or 10 games package at the beginning of next season. It's not THAT expensive.

Long story short: We didn't bother with presale, and now we are paying for it

We learnt our lesson for next year.
