Just watched 'Off the Record' on TSN and Jeremy Roenick went on a rant about how he wants to be a Blackhawk in the worst way and wants to end his career here... get on the phone... get him to lead and teach our youngn's!

It would be the fitting place to end his career.

Not to mention the Hawks could probably use the media attention Roenick would garner...

Bring him home Wirtz. If JR's not in Philly then this is where I want him to be, with Sharp and Vandermeer.

Roenick and Ruutu might make a good one-two punch...

I want him nowhere near this team. He's done and we don't need any ******** on a young team.

he'll go wherever ther's a pay cheque.......I noticed that last night that he said he'd welcome a return to Chicago...but I also watched the HNIC interview a few weeks back where he'd say he'd like to finish up with a Canadian team......or Phoenix. So, with 6 Canadian teams, The Coyotes and the Hawks...thats 8 out of 30 teams that JR would play for. What a guy

Well said. I couldn't agree more.

I would have liked him back a few years ago, but a "past it" Jeremy Roenick, his inflated ego and his non stop mouth, are things the Hawks do not need.

They have enough problems as it is.

Now there's a scary thought.

JR would improve the Hawks but ultimately set them back a few years. Not a good idea IMO.

Can't blame the guy for trying to keep his options open.

I'm sure he'll play for whomever gives him a paycheque.

Roenick is a great leader. I was actually just thinking about this. I wanted Roenick or Amonte back in Chicago, and Amonte's having fun in canada, so JR please come back to CHICAGO we need someone back like him. Roenick, LaPointe, and Barnaby, 3 great leaders.

I wouldn't mind Roenick being back on the Hawks at all.
I think he could provide good leadership, and could provide some decent secondary scoring, or at the very least, a leader that we so desperately need.

We loved JR in his time here. That time has LONG passed. Doesn't seem like he contributed much last year to LA... Not exactly a role model.
With his mouth, he should be Don Cherry's sidekick.
