the chances that 7 of 8 series go to 7 games are slim or none, and slim just ran away

Peter's strokes an eagle .....Tucker's handicap shows up , Domi lost looking for birdies , then Quinn crys four and the team lays down.

Why changed your mind? lol

How do you compare this year's Canes with the Bruins we kicked out for 2 straight years?

1) Staal, Recch, Brindamour, Williams, Weight > Koivu, Kovalev Advantage = Canes
2) Gerber = Huet = Abby Advantage = Draw
3) Markov & Komisarek > any of the Canes' D : Advantage = Habs

Heck.. when we do the analysis against Bruins, they have advantage in both forward and D categories and we still win!

In the regular season, we played the majority of games against them without Markov.

Canes is a tough team, but we did add guys like Downey, Murray, Simpson in the lineup. Bonk, Begin, Bulis will do their job as usual. They'll play tight forechecking against us as usual. Before we only have Markov and Brisebois (yes Brisebois) who can make the first pass in playoff. Rivet, Quintal and Souray lost control of the puck when the Canes forecheck them. Look at what Gainey has this year => Markov, Komisarek, Bouillon, Streit. We are well prepared for that this year.

Habs in 6! (but for now I don't dare to say what will happen in second round)

Ottawa in 4 (Reason: Graham. Hope for more games to tire them out but...)
Habs in 6 (Gerber will be broken in game one)
NJ in 7 (Reason: Brodeur. Note: this will get ugly (woohoo!))
Buffalo in 6 (Reason: Philly pilon def factor vs Buffalo speed overcomes Forsberg factor)

OUt west: pfff, dont care.

Changed my mind really because it really can go either way depending on a lot of factors. But one things I think we're doing wrong, is underestimate their d-men. Lots of experience out there, nothing flashy, but they work so well as a group that it could be difficult.

As far as the Canes and Bruins comparison, I believe the Canes are a faster group and the fact they will use this 2-1-2 could give us a lot of trouble. But we don't really know what Huet could do and was really encouraged by how Pleks finish the season and with the commitment that Kovy seemed to take for this team.

So it could go either way......and I don't want to jinx the team by not taking them....

Montreal in 6
New Jersey in 5
Buffalo in 6 (if Forsberg is healthy, if not, Buffalo in 5)

Detroit in 5
Colorado in 7 (i think Theo will have a couple of decent games, the rest will be down to the Sakic effect and how tightly the Avs strap the saddle on him)
