I saw this in Mike Organ's Media Report in the Tennessean.
Television ratings for the Predators bottomed out in the next-to-last regular season game Saturday against Phoenix. The game on Fox Sports Net earned a 0.1 local Nielsen rating, which equates to only 928 households. The game before (Minnesota) earned a 0.6 (5,565 households) and the final regular season game Tuesday against Detroit received a 0.9 (8,348 households).
If I recall correctly, the Phoenix game wasn't on local TV. Am I correct on this? I watched the Phoenix feed on Center Ice.
I'm not a big "the Nashville media hates the Predators" kind of person, but this guy must really enjoy getting hate mail from Preds fans because he really seems to needle the Preds in his columns, many times ignoring any kind of facts or perspective.
I'm all for reporting the facts, warts and all...if the Preds ratings are just north of test pattern, as plaster says, then report it. But, this is the guy who at the start of the year had the article talking about how horrible the preds ratings were when in fact they had doubled or tripled the previous season's ratings and had done it a) after the lockout and b) directly against MLB playoff games and football games.
