Junior scoring in this years SEL/Allsvenskan

How is it comparing to the last 2-3 years? I must be kidding myself but so far I think it looks pretty good, apart from Robban Nilssons obvious problems and poor Salmonssons injury.

Good point. Very interesting indeed. Most of them went straight over to the NHL, except Weinhandl (mainly because of the eye injury I guess). Those who stayed have not improved much. Perhaps more players should go over early, thinking of players like Jens Karlsson, Widing, Joakim Lindström and so on.

The Sedins are playing good this year - mainly because the Canucks are a top team this season, hope they can be a serious contender this season and that the twins scores a lot of points while they're winning

Since nobody seemed to know anything about the players in allsvenskan I took a round at stats.swehockey.se and noted the stats for junior players scoring 3 or more points in allsvenskan so far (this nights games excluded..).

This is what I came up with:

AIK:
Andreas Frisk, 1G 3A
Patric Blomdahl, 8G 2A

Almtuna:
Eric Norström, 2G 1A

Arboga:
Jesper Ollas, 2G 2A

Björklöven:
Daniel Sondell, 3G 6A
Filip Hollström, 2G 3A
Kristofer Persson, 5g 1A

Bofors:
Marius Holtet, 4G 2A

Hammarby:
Robert Kimby, 5g 1A

Huddinge:
Niklas Flodin, 3G 1A
Fredrik Johansson, 3G 1A
Monir Kalgoum, 2G 5A

Oskarshamn:
Alexander Hulth, 1G 6A

Rögle:
Karl Skugge, 1G 2A

Teg:
Niklas Eriksson, 1G 3A

Troja:
Johan Andersson, 9G 4A
Patrik Kannerling, 3G 2A

Västerås:
Misha Joukov, 4G 5A
Sebastian Meijer 4G 2A
(Fredrik Näslund only 2 points so far..)

Notable as you see are Johan Andersson, Misha Joukov and Patrik Blomdahl.

Daniel Sondell is doing very well in Björklöven - he's pretty much their top blueliner at the moment and is receiving lots of ice time. He's developed very well this season and looks like a solid prospect for the future, he should definately be a top SEL defender in the future, NHL is not out of the picture.

I'd also like to put in a good word for Piteå's goaltender Mikael Zajkowski. He's born in 1983, so he's no longer a junior, but he's been playing extraordinarily well this year, topping the northern allsvenskan in most major statistics. Of the NHA goaltenders I've seen, he's undoubtedly been the best, playing better than the likes of Joakim Persson (AIK) an Johan Asplund (Nyköping). There are rumours going around that Modo might recall Zajkowski (he's their property) to solve their current goaltending problems, which would be a huge blow to Piteå's chances in the spring.

Red,
Have you seen Heino in action this season? I've been hearing he has been oustanding.. playing for such a poor team as Vallentuna?
thanks

I've only seen Vallentuna play once, in a 2-0 loss against Piteå (away). Unfortunately their other goaltender Mattias Andersson played in that game, so I haven't seen him play myself (Andersson was brilliant in that game BTW). However, I have only heard good things about Heino, and his stats are good considering his age and the team he's playing for.

I've seen him play here in Boden once this season when he started against us. He let in a goal after about 18 seconds and substituted himself thanks to some problems with his equipment. Man, that was the fastest goalie change I've seen ever

Fredrik,
Nice. Quite comparable to the stats from 02/03, although there are more games played now then back in 93/94.
