Damn CBC...No Sens/Tampa game

***...I turn it on CBC to watch what I thought was going to be the Ottawa Senators/Tampa game, but they're showing Detroit/Edmonton..aaaargghh I live in Ontario, not the U.S. or alberta. I'm so pissed...I hate CBC more than ever...I'm a habs fan, but I was looking forward to watching The Sens so much.

It doesn't matter...last time I checked Detroit wasn't a Canadian team. And Nobody wants to watch Edmonton here.

Are you saying there are more Senators fans than Red Wings fans in Detroit? I had heard otherwise.

Edit: And with my satellite I get the Ottawa game on like 5 stations and the Edmonton one on 6 or 7.. muahahaha

I don't recall commenting on Detroit and their number of fans. Where the heck did you get that from?

Are you serious?

Did you actually think they wouldn't show DET/EDM in Windsor?!?

Give your head a shake.

Then you go on to say, in a later post, that Detroit isn't a Canadian team and nobody in Windsor wants to watch Edmonton.

Well guess what - the vast vast majority of fans in Windsor *do* want to watch Detroit.

This should have been blatantly obvious.

Sorry, I meant Windsor.. I was supposed to ask whether there were more Sens fans in Windsor than Wings fans, because I've heard it's certainly not the case.

I beg to differ. In the past the CBC has always shown Canadian teams first without regard for fans of Detroit. Why all of a sudden? There are U.S. networks that we can watch the Detroit game on if we so desired. Give my head a shake, you say? oh gosh

So, I guess, by your logic, if I'm in Niagara Falls I should expect to see the Sabres broadcasts instead of Canadian teams, right?

That's never mattered in the past...I would go as far as to say that there are more Detroit fans than Leaf fans in Windsor. So, using that logic, why do I see Leaf night in Canada all season rather than Red Wing night in Canada?

Uhhh, last time I checked, the Detroit-Edmonton matchup did involve a Canadian team.

I guess the combo Canadian opponent + Detroit so close made the local CBC chose the Western game even if you're in Ontario.

By the way, I've got the Sens game in KW.
