Sens/Lightning: Who are you cheering for?

I'm going for the Lightning, for a few reasons:

1) The Lightning are serious underdogs.
2) Alfie and Spezza are cocky with nothing to show for it, while Modin, Lecavalier, St. Loius, and Richards are quiet champs.
3) The Sens out of the playoffs gives us a better shot at the Cup!
4) The Sens losing in round one again screws up their confidence in the long term.

Go Lightning!

Bolts so we'll get to play NJ, Flyers or NY instead of Ottawa.

I really like the Sens, but for some reason I find myself rooting for the underdog so I'm a little torn. Plus I love Lecavalier, St. Louis and Richards.

Lightning all the way because I'm from Rimouski, where Richards and Lecavalier spent their junior career.

Go Tampa!

I would rather the top seeds be ousted. Much rather play philly/njr in the next round should we make it.

If Ottawa bows out to Tampa we'll be playing the Devils. I think the Devils will beat the Rags. And you'de rather the Habs play the Devils who they're 0-4 against instead of Ottawa who we're 4-4 against

No, if Tampa and NJ wins, NJ becomes the 1st remaining seed and plays Tampa. We play the winner of Buffalo-Philly. I don't like our chances against Buffalo. Philly is another story though...

But I'd rather face Ottawa. The Leafs are not there to kick them out of the playoffs. The task is now ours.

Sens, always loved them, but of course, if we meet them in second round, that's another story

The Sens.

They would be ripe for the picking if we make it to round two. I would rather see Ottawa in R.2 than New Jersey or Buffulo.

Senators. I'd like to see the Lightning exit before the Habs. It would revenge them for '04. Rember, the Habs set the Lightning up to face the Sens by taking 3 out of their 4 individual meetings. The Sens have beaten the Lightning 8 times in a row in thei regular season games.

Ill take NJ and Buf before OTT thank you. NJ might have won their 4 games but they havent outplayed us in anygame. When healthy the sens are the best team in the league.

Well as much as I do not want the Habs to play the Devils I want the Sens to choke again!

It will be funny to see Hasek screw another team over!

Niether.

In the East, the Habs are the only team I'll ever cheer for.

Ottawa/Tampa Bay series? I'll cheer for the Habs.
New Jersey/New York series? I'll cheer for the Habs.
Buffalo/Philadelphia series? I'll cheer for the Habs.

Yes, I am a party pooper. :p

Definitely Ottawa.

1) They've built the team properly and deserve success for their work

2) If this Ottawa team loses, quality players/people like Alfredsson will have an undeserved 'choker' stigma

3) I'm starting to dislike cinderella teams popping up every year. I don't think it makes for more exciting hockey to see different teams in the Finals every year. Personally, one of my favourite Stanley Cup Finals of the last decade was the Colorado-NJ Finals. And I looked forward to all the Dallas/Detroit/Colorado match-ups in the Western Conference Finals, because the teams built their rosters to face those specific teams in the playoffs. Made for a real war.

To relate this to why I would like Ottawa to win: I don't want Tampa to get a chance to repeat their cinderella success.

Sens for sure. I'd love for any Canadian team to win the cup this year.

But hot damn, Spezza is lazy...

Tampa.

I hate Ottawa with a passion, for some reason. I'm not the biggest Tampa fan either, but I saw The Rocket tonight, and couldn't help but admire Jean Beliv... I mean Vincent Lecavalier. He looked good in the Canadiens uniform (especially when the Canadiens all stand up for the Rocket when the Boston Police breaks into the dressing room), and I'll be pulling for him in this series.

Neither team really, I don't like either of them. But the Sens are going to crush them so it doesn't really matter.
