He has really played well in Calgary under Sutter.

I am happy for Lundy. I wish that it could have worked out in New York, but it just was not meant to be.

Calgary fans seem satisfied with his play so far.

Hopefully, he's finally getting the "fire in his belly" (to paraphrase Edge) that he needs to be successful.

THIS IS NOT A SATHER BASHING POST.

Just like to see any of our draft picks do well.

I can see him doing well in calagry, he will get more oppurtunity to be a go to guy for offence, which is what Lundmark really needed all along. He has been too buried before in depth...

It's not about depth or icetime or Sather.

The guy had personal issues off the ice and it's not surprising to me that once he got back to Alberta, his hometown, he's looking like he's focused and starting to mature. Finally.

Father issues. I don't know all the details, maybe Edge knows more, but he had a few chips on his shoulder when it came to his dad & the divorce of his parents.

Yep. Another just horrible deal there, just like the Hossa for Garth Murray deal. Lundmark is fighting, and he still scores and he's starting for the 3rd place team in the west

It's funny that every time Lundmark fights he gets a thread. He fought for us too so don't get too upset that we missed out. He fought Markov of the Flyers at the end of the '04 season.

How the **** is it a horrible deal?

He was awful for us.

Beyond awful. He was a no heart, little talent SLUG for us.

I would never want him on this team. He might be good out there, but he wouldn't be good here.

Glad to see him doing well, but even more happier to have him OFF the team.

Why are you so heated? Relax. I think Lundmark is a much better fit on this team than let's say Betts or Moore. Sure, he wasn't playing well for us, but I thought he had the ability to develop, and it was certainly a HORRIBLE deal in my mind dealing him for Jeff Taffe

I wouldn't say horrible but Phoenix did get a 4th round pick for him.

We got Taffe whom we traded back to Phoenix for Sonnenberg.

Think we can get a 4th rounder for Sonnenberg?

Just pulling your chain, though.
Taffe might've worked out. Just didn't is all.

Possibly since we could use more offense but at this point I'd rather have Betts and Moore. They're underappreciated players who are solid in a checking line/PK role and always give a nonstop effort. We didn't see that from Lundmark in his time here. He was a lost cause....our management treated him like garbage and he got too used to the country club environment. He never would've succeeded here.

Actually, I think Sonnenberg has been a solid addition for Hartford. Added a veteren presence down there for the kids to be around and I hear he's been doing a solid job.

I was more concerned in getting Lundmark off the team than getting value back, haha.

Heard some rumors about that too. I know he got married during the season as well so he might have finally gotten his head screwed on right. Calgary is a good fit for him. I've watched the games he's played there and it's probably the best hockey he's played since Juniors. Good luck to him, I doubt it would have ever worked in New York.

and to think we thought we could have gotten alot for Lundmark, we dealt him for an AHL career player, the Yotes dealt him for a low pick. I guess we do overvalue our players from time to time. Too bad the Rangers cant bring Rachunek for our PP, hed be an upgrade over ozonodefense and pokecheck poti.

I saw it as well on OLN last night. I had to do a double take though when I first heard that it was Lundmark fighting Lupul. Hopefully things work out for him in Calgary because NY wasn't the place for him at all.

Hahahaha... isn't that what makes him great though? I'd rather have Bertuzzi than Rachunek, that guy's an ungrateful *******... I'm sure he regrets it now, seeing some of the best Czechs in the league on this team.

As has been said a million times, it is all up to Lundmark.

It took three teams and 7 years to get him to resemble the player he was in his draft year. His destiny is entirely up to him.

But trade remarks, and some of the other stuff on here isn't even worth addressing.

I'd rather go page for page in a discussion with Fletch, at least than I don't feel insulted by having to respond to comments.

And Lundmark is to blame for that !!???
