McCarty's GWG

I was pretty excited when Darren scored the GWG in the Flames game last night. I actually jumped up out of my chair when he scored it. I was rooting for the Ducks, mind you. But to see Mac get a big goal like that was still great. Especially with the trouble he's been in lately. I bet it felt damn good for him. His reaction after the goal was terrific, as usual.

Anyway, just curious if anyone else saw it and gave a little grin for Darren afterwards?

I know I did.

I know I smiled a bit after seeing McCarty score that OT goal. I liked McCarty while he was here, and that has not changed now that he plays for the Flames. I liked Maltby's OT goal more though

I watched McCarty give the post-game interview, and he mentioned he'd heard Malts had scored the GWG for the Wings too. He was happy the grinders managed to pull it out for their teams. Tell where his heart is sometimes? Not to imply he isn't giving the Flames 100% either....

Don't forget, the Maltby shot hit the stick of Rem Murray...a Red Wings' training camp cut.

Props to D-Mc on the GWG!

That was such a shrewd move by the Wings to go with Cleary instead of Murray or LaCouture. Cleary and Maltby were great last night in the offensive end.

Me thinks Daniel may come out with the last laugh on this.

I really got tired of Dmac in Detroit.
But yeah, I was happy for the guy.

Brought back some good memories.
