I'm trying my best to remain optimistic, I mean Dallas had this game in the bag before a fluke goal gets through....and it ain't over til it's over, but much like their regular season, they're going to have to crawl their way back into this series......Dammit they were SO CLOSE!!!
I hate it cuz they played so well, they found their groove again and lo and behold they freakishly lose the lead in the closing minutes and then before you know it they have lost in OT, and they were playing well too!!! I haven't seen this happen very many other places, where a team with all the momentum still loses the game. I guess the gods just don't like Dallas for now.
Arnott hits the post and they go back the other way and score...
Marty Turco is the biggest piece of swiss cheese I have ever seen. He has so many holes in him AND he stinks...Why does he change his attitude for the playoffs? Has it worked for him yet?? NO!!!
I'm sick to my stomach right now...this is pathetic. I'm not jumping off the bandwagon but we aren't going to win both games in Colorado unless we come out and take it to them instead of them taking it to us.

Not to be a troll, but on a couple of the goals, the hockey gods were clearly on Dallas' side. Albeit it did occur as a result of relentless pressure. But c'est la vie.

Hope for game 3 to be as good as this one.
Yeah some were definitely lucky, but it's tormenting to lose that way. Like being waved in front of you and poof! It's gone!! Why?!!

Are you kidding me - a fluke goal? If you want to see a fluke goal watch the replay of a centering pass that inadvertently re-directed on net from the slot and went on net; a puck into the air off the keepers back; or a goal kicked into the net. Please! That was a great tip by Clark. The AVS had 7 penalties in the 3rd period, some of which may be desribed as soft. Lose the sour grapes and keep it objective.

I'm sure he said it was a fluke because Turco LET IT IN.... Turco should have stopped it. Soft goal, no question.

They didn't have the game in the bag before a fluke goal got through, they had it in the bag because a fluke goal went through. There were flukes on both sides of the ice though, and I still don't trust my own goalie, Theo, when the pressure gets to him. Hopefully Avs D can step their game up and not allow these to get to him...
Well, It wasn't so bad (for myself, I mean on Sunday I was throwing fits like crazy), I didn't expect much and didn't get much, so I still managed to enjoy the rest of my night.
Hopefully we can make it to OT next game and have Ott score GWG
Then Wolski can score the OT GWG goal the next game after that
Finally the Avs can win 8-2 with like 5 Empty net goals.
And for the fans who come on here and start arguing back from stuff posted after the game happend or during, realize that we are a bit emotional and some of the things said are not correct, but relax!!!
... some fans aren't even happy when they win.

You know it only respectful to just listen to the national anthem and not yell during it.
I think I'll put this down as the most irrelevant post ever, thanks the loss of 4 seconds.
ohhh! anyone else think Dallas = Carolina, Carolina = Dallas.
both 2nd seed
both have hot shot reg. season goal tenders who have not been so hotshot.
both cooled off dramatically coming into the playoffs.
both were eaten alive in the first game.
both came back from a 3-0 to lose the game in OT.
... I think at this point, I can make a good judgement to watch the Stars games depending on how Carolina does.
You cant pin these losses on Turco. That being said, is it time for a shake-up and start Hedberg in game 3?
You can't say any of the losses have been Turco's fault, but that was clearly a game he could have won for us.
Turco is frequently brought up as a top 5 goalie in this league, and ironically enough, he rarely steals games for us.
I have to say, the OT goal was a result of poor defensive coverage on Dallas' part - we had 5 guys facing Hejduk, a recipe for disaster. But come on, no team is going to play a perfect defensive game for 60+ minutes, we need Turco to bail us out every once in a while and he doesn't seem capable of doing so. How many times did Belfour do it during our cup run?
i'd like to see Hedberg get a shot, a change would be good for this team. But honestly, if we're going anywhere this post season our hopes rest on Turco's shoulders... /sigh
Turco has been pretty bad. Look at his numbers after 2 games. Only Lundqvist and Gerber have been worse. Theodore hasn't been a whole lot better but he does have 2 W's.
