Helminen and Dubinsky kept changing until the 3rd period when Dubinsky centered every shift between Dawes and Genoway.

Jessiman scratched... My guess is that he won't see the ice again this year unless 6 players break their legs or arms

You're right...the only ice he'll probably see is in a glass of water.

Bearing a miracle next season, he might just crack the Charlotte Checkers (ECHL) lineup.

For you Wolfpack guys...

Does Genoway have a shot with the big club AT ALL down the line?!?! He seems to be doing real well, but alot of players are good in the A and are nothing in the NHL..

Tough to say....he may just be another Brad Smyth, Derek Armstrong. I don't know if the Rangers are going to try to sign him. He does have talent..who really knows if it will translate to the next level.

According to Holt he was. From the sound of it, it wasn't like his Junior games where he absolutely dominating, but when he had the puck something was usually happening. He threw a big check too. Seemed everything was clicking for the Pack tonight while Manchester could do no right.

Genoway is signed to an AHL contract. I imagine the Rangers are going to try to sign him and Girardi and maybe even Gherson during the off season.

As for Dubinsky this guy looks like he is going to be really good. Plays with an edge too. Got to say that Montoya's game has been solid except for game 3. So far in the playoffs he's stopped 104 out of 111 shots.

Blowout or not, for a 4 point game to come in the playoffs in one of his first pro games is impressive. Must...temper.....enthusiasim.....remember Cherniski, Dube, Brendl & Lundmark.

Aside from Cherneski, who didn't make it due to injury, I don't know if you could compare that group to Dubinsky. (Okay, maybe Lundmark, since both were/are supposed to play similar games.) Dubinsky looks to have a frame more ready to play in the NHL. He's got a better work ethic than either Lundmark or Brendl, plus he seems to have some leadership qualities about him.

Shame to hear about Jessiman...

of course, if McGill was coach people would be calling for his head playing a guy like Smyth over Jessiman in an attempt to win a series. I guess Falardeau's passed Jessiman on the depth chart.

Speed kills in the AHL right now. Shooter, Me Me Giroux and Co. are having allot of trouble while our young studs are dancing.

Jessiman have a long road ahead of him...

Especially with Smyth and Sonnenberg taking up roster positions. I'm sure he will develop well riding the pine

I've mentioned several times that I'm unhappy with the way the Pack have handled Jessiman this year...

as for Falardeau passing Jessiman, it's more likely because Falardeau plays a different role than Jessiman and is better on D. The Pack pushed Jessiman down to a role that he's not best suited for.

I think people are going a little overboard with the whole "well he'll be lucky to make the checkers next year!" bit. Everyone's gonna have to earn a roster spot and honestly from what I've heard several Hartford fans say about Jessiman, he's improved tremendously this season and they're not sure why he's sitting right now.

I only meant in the aspect of getting up hopes for a prospect that eventually turns out (one way or the other) to be nothing. Just the usual type of occurences for this organization.

Over the last say 3 years I'm of the opinion that the Rangers have been handling their prospects much better. In Dubinsky's case he's never been considered blue chip but since we've drafted him he's continued to get better and better and that includes continued growth and taking on leadership responsibility with his team. In this respect I don't think he resembles Lundmark or Dube and certainly not Brendl.

Anyway it's encouraging to me that not only Dubinsky but also Korpikoski and Greg Moore and Byers seem ready to make the next step. Montoya is playing well. Falardeau is proving he belongs where he is. Dawes has had an excellent season. As has Immonen, Girardi, Genoway, Helminen. Degon has played well too. Don't think there's much room for our AHL vets next year.

And Giroux. Though at the same time, sometime you have to draw a line. There are 7 rookies upfront alone ahead of him in the lineup. 10 rookies upfront in the lineup would hurt the development of guys like Dawes/Dubinsky instead of Jessimans.
