IMO the Oilers just played their best game of the season against C-bus on Thursday, it's really important for them to follow that up with another good effort tonight or they're right back on the slippery slope.

Hopefully it will be a super-duper 3-D thriller and the Oilers top six forwards will play like top six forwards again.

4-2 Oil, three fights.

Ahhh, Red Snapper. Very Tasty.

Thanks LD. I got inspired with everyone changing their avatars lately - it was between Stanley Spadowski or Lord Helmet from Spaceballs... but the firehose pic won out.

Back to the Oil... I'm going to boldly predict a 4-3 Oiler win.

Dear God... not the Cry Baby Comrie one again. Everybody and their dog has brought that one out already.

Hey Wings fans - :moon:

Say WHAT!!! If that was the Oils best game of the season then they are in deep trouble. They couldn't hold a lead against a team that had yet to win on the road and if it wasn't for a goalie interference call we are talking about another loss for the Oilers. Best game of the season you say!

Joseph pulled his groinoidal area. :p Legace is usually a nightmare for the Canucks.

Go Oil...play them hard! We see them tomorrow night.

No way Tommy was trying to throw the stick. Nothing to gain by that. Shanny was on him.

Pretty gutsy decision by Salo on the penalty shot. He would have looked horrible if shanny walked around him or shelfed it. But it didn't happen. Could boost his confidence.

If the Oilers are gonna keep lobing pillow-esque underhand soft balls on net from WAY out.....they aint getting nowhere.

Well that was a pretty brutal sequence by Ferguson and Bergeron. At least Bergie was able to recover from his mistake.

Does anyone else feel......well, uneasy.....with a 2-0 lead after 20 minutes?

I'm not being a pessimist. But it all depends how they play the next 40.

Let's hope MacT can find the right words in this intermission.

Dvorak looks great right now. He's definately a keeper.

And g2k, after what we've seen so far this season, you would be foolish not to be uneasy when the Oilers have a lead. Hopefully tonight is the night they figure out how to keep it. The Wings don't look so hot right now.

Agreed. Dvorak is looking deadly out there. Did he get an assist on the first goal, if not he deserved one. How many points does that give him this year?
Bergeron is putting up some pretty impressive numbers for a young defenceman.

I was gonna mention Dvorak too. I know everyone has hat alot of good to say about him lately, but he's doing it again tonight so far.

He carried the puck while fighting off Chelios for the whole width of the ice on one play. And it wasn't like Chelly was behind him, he was right on Radek.

He's alot tougher on the puck than I imagined. And we all seen how explosive his speed can be. It was like he was shot out of cannon on one play against the BJ's on Thursday.

Lowe upstairs slowly rubbing his hands like Monty Burns saying, "exceeeeelllllent!"

Hmm.. pretty good game so far but lots of giveaways! They'll come back and bite us in the ass if we don't smarten up defensively.. nice to see Tommy shut a few doubters mouthes on that penalty shot
