Toronto is going to be in tough against Philly tonight. I think there could be some some fireworks but lets hope Quinn keeps his boys in check and there minds on the game we need to step up to the challenge and win one against one of the leagues top end teams.

I assume so too, but I think it wouldn't be a bad idea to let him start a big game in front of the home crowd, especially early in the season. If he plays well, could be a big boost to his confidence. If not...no biggie. At least it shows that Quinn has faith in him against a top opponent on HNIC.

Have to go with the flyers in this game, with the mental mistakes the leafs have been making in the last 2 games the flyers will jump on them and make them pay.If we can focus and play the full 60 minutes we can beat anyone on home ice,so far we haven't had much luck with that.

philly 4 leafs 2

We've GOT to beat the flyers tonight! We need this win. Not another loss please. I'm not making a prediction this time because it usually jinxes the leafs. Common guys let's beat our old playoff rivals! :moon:

GO LEAFS GO!!!!!!!!!

Anticipating this one to be another playoff performance game by both teams, this will be the Leafs measuring stick tonight, Philly is playing pretty well while Toronto needs to start catching fire. Will they catch it tonight, highly unlikely, but hey, they can at least try.

Philly 3

Toronto 1

Should be a doozy tonight. Leafs win 4-2 with an empty netter

TOR - Sundin x2, Domi, Jackman
PHI - Williams, Gagne

I wonder if Sluggo is going to start a whole thread to talk about McCabe's coverage on that Handzus goal...

Brutal play by McCabe on the Handzus goal...unfortunate deflection by Belak on the Johnsson goal...

Handzus's throwback helmet and mullet makes me thinks he's a player from the '80s.

And why is Toronto wearing road whites at home?
