My guess is that Arnason will move into Vermette's spot between Neil and Varada, while Vermette plays the left side with Spezza and Heatley. The other two lines will remain unchanged. I think that is less because Arnason is higher on the depth chart and more because he can play centre. Playing Schubert would be more disruptive, because it would force them to do more extensive line juggling.
I hope Redden will be up to it, probably his family told him that it would be good for him to play, but will his head be in the game
Sure, he could be bad, but he is a million times better on the PP than Pothier and at least 20 times better than Meszaros at this point in time, and probably 10 times better than Chara on the point on the PP.
So, hopefully our special teams will continue to click at a fairly good rate. PP scoring is something we've lacked in past series and that's definitely one silver lining to be proud of, along with our penalty killing and shorthanded chances.
Clearly, it's the 5 on 5 play that is sinking the ship at the moment. I think the team is starting to realize that, with the 2 shots in the 3rd driving the point home rather poignantly.
Well, it's handy if Spezza gets thrown out? Heh. Anyway, didn't Murray sneak Vermette on in the first game to take some important draws, or did I dream that?
Even in Game 2, when the Ca$h line was temporarily reunited, Spezza was removed for a defensive zone faceoff and Vermette took it, and when the puck was cleared from the zone he left and Spezza hopped on.
Anyone else notice this?
Turns out, they were both hot on faceoffs which is why I think Spezza was allowed to take the ones in the offensive zone in the closing seconds.
Is Arnason hurt, or just not able to crack the lineup? If it's the latter, what's his deal, just not that good or the coaches don't like him or something?
Apparantly it is his "conditioning"......he is drastically out of shape. He could hide the fact with Chicago but now that he is playing on an ultra-fast team like the sens, it really shows.
Hopefully the kelly injury will bring him back into the lineup. I'm not a big fan of playing Shubie on D and up front. We are going to have alot of injuries on D if we have a long cup run, so lets just let Shubert sit (staying healthy) until he is needed on D again.
