Oh yeah. My little brother has insisted we do everything exactly like we did Saturday. Urinate on Staal grass, drink the same beer, etc. etc.

Only when it comes to the Habs... Couldn't care less in any other circumstance.

I always stand for the national anthem...only for ours and sit down for the american one. It gets weird at work when i'm listening to the game online...co-workers have begun to notice that i randomnly stand up around 4 or 430...

Also...I can't wear my Roy Canadiens jersey...everytime I do bad things happen. Last time I did the nucks blew us out.

Hahaha. I was thinking of posting something like this before last game! Wat I do before the Habs play, is that I have the song "Thunderstruck"" by AC/DC, playing in the background. Continuously looped! I started doing this during the 04' run with the Bruins, when the Habs were down 3 games to 1. After that, I went 3-0 with the song in the background. I wasnt home for the Lightning series, therefore we lost. For game 1 this year, I was at a buddies house, who is a HUGE habs fan, and I told him about the Thunderstruck thing. He looked at me, and said, "What the hell are we waiting for????? Lets go play it!!!" Habs win 6-1

Habs are 4-0 when Thunderstruck is playing
Keeping the tradition alive tonight boys!

I've somehow convinced myself that my wife passing in front of the screen while the Habs are playing is a bad omen. If I hear her come up the stairs, I now turn off the tV and scurry downstairs for the end of the game. I feel that if the tV is off the spell is broken. otoh, I think working hard is important.

They lost a game a few years back and my also demented best friend said, 'yeah, sorry, it was me, I traded g2 for an Expos win.' I didn't know you could do that. Is it only him ? Whose superstitions superseed whose ?

I could always record the game and watch it afterwards when it's over without knowing the score, that way I wouldn't have any effect on the score.

But what if the act of taping the game makes them lose...

Last game I was at my friends house and we were all watching the game (they're all Sens fans) on CBC, once Carolina scored I told him to put it on RDS, reluctantly they did, and a few moments later we scored, needless to say we didn't change the channel and the Habs scored 6 straight.
I did the same.. but I switched back to CBC between periods, but right back to RDS before the action restarted

I have a great story for you guys. At the first game, when Carolina took the lead 1-0, I went to my room take a ball to pass my frustration if they score another goal. Then, Habs scores 1, 2, etc. After the first Kovalev goal, I saw in the stands some Habs fans who were sticking with each other in a big circle. It reminds me "Minuit, le soir" and I've said they're doing a "boule d'amour" or a ball of love. Then, I looked at the ball that I bring on the table and said ok, you're boule d'amour.

My boule d'amour never leave the table and I expect it to be great for the habs tonight

My superstition right now is to not post in the GDT. Which is killing me, because it's one heck of a game tonight.

Will definitely be wearing my Flyers jersey again Wednesday. Too bad it seems to bring the Flyers bad luck too. Oh yeah my hair has also gotten longer than I'm used to, and I don't usually gel it and I hate having it in my face, so I use a headband to keep it back. Was wearing it both games, will be wearing it again on Wednesday. Go Habs!!!

I took off my Richard jersey to move a fridge, Canes scored the 4 goals, I threw it back on, we scored 2...

I wore the same clothes I did Saturday, and even took the little ads off the table from the bar and set em up the same way in my basement...and it worked.

When we went up 3-0, my dad told me '' oh yeah, the habs are coming back to montreal up 2-0'' you all no what happened next.
In the intermission between the 2 OTs, I told my dad to unjix it. 3 minutes later...well...you know!!

Am I superstitious?

Mmmmm...

I have the same ritual at every beginning of game.
I touch wood everytime the habs are in PK.
Actually I held on to a wooden piece for the whole overtime!
I pray at least 5 times in a game to try to make them win.
I change position everytime we get scored on.
...
I have lucky boxers...

So am I superstitious?

nah!

Maybe I'm just freak, but I'll do whatever it takes to make the Habs win!

I'm actually wondering if my curse has wore off, and if I should think of a new one.

I'll keep ya posted.

If you are talking about fertilizing the grass, it was done during game 1 and game 3 already, so.......
