CBC has a better quality image on their HD channel so i watch them live but i record the game on RDS to watch various parts of the game
Although a game like tonight was not in pure widescreen HD it still looks a lot better than the video on RDS
If i could i would watch the game on HD-CBC but with the audio from RDS...man do i wish RDS would come out with their own HD channel
As a "westerner", west of like... Cornwall, getting RDS on my dish for about $5 per month got me access to all 82 habs games. I'd have gotten to see maybe 8 without spending serious coin on Centre Ice. I'm good with that.
the things he says are so simple and stupid, and he often seems lost on what just hapenned, sometimes he and Houde get into pathetic jokes and misses the play by play, when a replay comes in it always seems to be the wrong one (but it may be the broadcast team here).
And they alsoo have the biggest boners on Buffalo (a team that I really hate, I dunno why) and Bergeron. Wich tickles my nerves because they mention them so often when we are playing against them.
plus the overall RDS broadcast seems 5 years behind other channels
Cbc with hughson doing the games plus i always watch the english broadcast over rds since i dont understand any french. The only time i watch rds over english is when pierre mcguire and healey and doing the game on tsn together .. thats like hell for me
I switched to RDS after Carolina went up 4-3. I was going to switch back to CBC with two minutes left, but didn't. The results were devestating. I decided to stick with RDS for OT and am happy about it. I'll give CBC another go on Wednesday, but they're on a short leash.
I always switch back and forth. Because while on CBC it feels more alive and exciting, you never get much comments so I often switch back to RDS to hear what they say since in french it`s more a live discussion(with opinons, etc..).
