Game 4: @ Colorado, 4/28

I would like to thank everyone this season for an awesome time here on the boards.

It was a great run with doing the Stars game threads for nearly every game this season and can't wait till next season to do it again.

Colorado hasn't officially clinched it..but we're down 3-0 and only 2 teams in history have come back from down 3-0.

You guys have been awesome since the start of the year when we came back in the opener to win 5-4. To when we got blasted by the Kings 7-2. O remember when we went up to Canada and beat Ottawa 2-0 and Toronto 2-1. Or even the 3 goal comeback wins in the shoot outs.

To any and everyone that has posted in the game threads this season, I say thank you. You guys were awesome to be around this season and can not wait to do it again next season.

To the Stars and their organization...while you guys are killing me right now, you guys are the reason we're all here on this game thread and this website. And whatever the outcome of game 4 is, I will truely like to thank you for an awesome year of extremely high highs and extremely..EXTREMELY low lows.

To anyone who has been in the chat room at all this season (over at AndrewsStarsPage.com), I would like to say thank you. Watching games with you guys has been a blast. Through the fights, the drunken guys, the opposition. Through thick and thin, it's been fun to watch and talk hockey with you guys.

And so..onto Game 4...Where I hope to God, it isn't a 5-1 blow out again like back in 04.

Again, you absolutely cannot blame Turco for the loss tonight, but it's time to start Hedberg, just to shake things up. Probably going to get swept anyways.

I am not trolling because I had 7 stars in my pool, but I cannot believe how this series has gone. When you guys picked up Mitchell I thought you really had solidified your D. I am at a loss to explain why the play has been so bad.

Here's hoping you guys have it in you.

Things could have been different for both our team if you guy had drawn Edmonton and we had drawn the Avs.

I've watched the series and you guys have had some tough luck. I can't stand Colorado and even tough you're a Pacific rival (Kings fan) I feel bad for the turn of events. You guys played solid tonight and deserved better. Theodore looks atrocious but the bounces ain't going your way......good luck, hopefully you can nab game four.

thats bs man, you can say what you want, if your going to win in the playoffs your goalie has got to be amazing, good wont cut it, his 898% save percentage in the regular season was good, in the playoffs you gotta be better.

If the stars lose, turco is a HUGE reason they lost. Think of this the teams moral and confidence could be shattered by turco's inability to keep them in games.

I don't think your Stars have played all that bad, actually.

I think it's more that Colorado has blocked an insane amount of shots during this series. You're right that Theodore hasn't been stellar by any stretch of the mind. If you could get shots on him, you'd score. It's the blocked shots that shut you down.

I'd go with an Avs victory on this one,
Let's just get this over with.

Youre making it sound like he will let in every shot but that is so not true he faces on average 20 shots a game and lets in 3-4 goals a game thats more then a 50% save percentage!

This may end up a sweep, but I think Dallas looked worse in last season's playoffs.

Didn't the Stars just sign Tippett and his staff to an extension recently? I wonder if they'd really can him so soon after just having made a lengthy commitment to him with the extension.

I have barely any hope for this next game. I mean, we had our chances, especially the first game, where we just didn't care and try hard enough.

As an Avs fan I can honestly say you guy have a very good team. Dont go nuts here and break the thing up. The biggest issues, for what ever reason, is the Avs are in Turco head - in various degrees.

I dont think its the bad bounces getting you guys as much as a mind game thing. Geeze I remember several years back when we had a far better team on paper but couldnt get past the Belfour thing.

Its playoff hockey which is next to impossible to figure out at times.

The one thing that does need to be taken care of is Guerin. Dont know what his deal is right now.

I think with the more seasoned Finnish youth the Stars will be much better, postseason too.

Tippett has impressed me with his coaching as well as his frankness during postgame interviews. Guys tells it how it is and doesn't single out players.

Guerin's a goner. This team doesn't need him anymore. I imagine that frees up some decent cap room to go after a strong RW free agent. Havlat perhaps?

More then likely Lessard or Loui Eriksson will take his place hopefully.
