Garth Murray

Nice article on our resident grinder.

http://www.canada.com/topics/sports/...c662bae&k=5400

He's done more on this team than I could of ever expected. I just love his drive and 100% every night effort.

Agreed...he's been excellent in the last half of the season, and he's made himself into a regular player with the Habs.

With some more work, he could maybe one day be a poor man's version of Ethan Moreau

I think that's a good comparison. He's still very young and would appear to be a very hard worker off the ice. I could see him being a primary PKer while chipping in 10-15 goals a season.

Weird, he looks short on the ice. I never thought he was taller than Begin.

Have to say, didn't think too much of that trade when it happened, was pretty sure that Hossa finally understood what to do to be productive, glad I wasn't the one that took that decision.....

Great job Murray!

Murray has really grown on me in the second half of the season. He is already a warrior at 23 so i can only imagine that he will become even better at what he does and be a very serviceable 3rd/4th liner for us in the futur. The guy is all heart , effort and dedication.

He's much more useful to our team than Hossa would have been.

Wow, didn't know he was that tall.

I LOVE this guy as a Hab. He is a perfect 3rd/4th liner along with Begin.

And can you believe this guy is only 23?

Yeah, I know. He looks much older.

He won a silver medal a couple years ago with team Canada in the World Juniors!

Reminds me of the bad guy in the movie 'The Mask' with Jim Carey...

Garth is just great. He (and Begin) is the kind of player we've been lacking for a long time and I certainly appreciate his presence in Montreal. You can always count on him to give his best night in and night out. I wish him a long career with us.
