I think that most of our lineups didn't include him and happy that he's not there 'cause it would really mean we would rush him and that can never be good. He'll be in much better shape Sunday or Tuesday (if necessary.... )
Which is fine too I guess. I mean, I don't like having Ribeiro / Bonk / Plekanec / Lapierre down the middle against a team with Brind'Amour / Staal / Weight, but we don't have much of a choice.
Streit/7D in still seems the most obvious, then. I kinda hope it doesn't happen like that, though, since one of our strengths has been rolling 4 lines, and whatever you might say in theory about Dandenault being able to play forward, I doubt it would play out like that much in the actual game. It'd go to 3 lines, basically PK work only for Murray and Sunny, maybe a bit of secondary PP time for Streit, that's it.
Oh no ! I was at least counting on Stevie to be there seeing Saku won't be....but if he's not ready, there's no just no use ...We need them both when they are in full strenght

I agree, we need another D-man, the d's have had a lot of work lately so a 7th D would be great and Kovalev could double shift with the Higgins-Ryder line, that seems like a good option.

A few shifts here and there with Murray and Sunny makes him an asset! I'd feel rather safe with those guys up front once in a while.

If the 4th line saw less time, and Mtl. gets last change, Murray between Downey and Sunny is probbly what I think will happen. Bonk has experience playing with a guy with breakaway speed from his Ott. days, so why not. If during practices, they saw something in the AHL group that interested them, well we'll hear about it, but going safe is the way to go probably. Probably the one guy who's absence is hardest to adjust to overall at forward.

Hence, winning ASAP becomes a factor in the long run...GO habs GO
Higgins-Plekanec-Ryder (good at face offs, doesn't give up the puck, great vision, great passing, good speed, great defense... pleks a good replacement)
Zednik-Bonk-Perezhogin (Bonk replaces pleks on the shutdown line)
Murray-Lapierre-Sundstrom (I heard lapierre is a bit faster than downey... he adds a bit of grit to that line while keeping up a good level of speed)
What's probably gonna happen:
Bulis-Ribs-Kovy (the official 1st line now)
Higgins-Bonk-Ryder (Bonk's the 2 mil center. He was originaly pegged as center 2b... a physical alternative to Ribeiro. Gainey should give him the 2nd line's pivot because Bonk has more experience, has shown his defensive positioning and, I guess, Gainey might still be a bit attached to that Senatorial-era hope of seeing him become that long awaited "big, physical center")
Zednik-Pleks-Perezhogin (They have been playing lights out since the start of the series... very strong showing against the enemy's top lines)
Downey-Murray-Sundstrom (Gainey will go with Downey because he has the experience. He has already shown that he consider Murray as being a valid center [remember the 2nd game in Carolina?]. My fear is this line will lack speed in reacting to the Hurricane's play and that they will get caught up is opposed to the two top lines...)

I think this depends on how Souray's recovering. He looked slow last night. If his condition doesn't improve, then I suspect they'll dress 7D.
I want Kosty to get a chance. That said when he was with the big club this year he didn't get more than 5 minutes per game despite burrying some chances. I don't think they will put him in.
Please Bob, Please, give the kid a chance, he might shock you.
Murray-Lapierre-Sunstrom or Downey-Murray-Sundstrom
Agreed. We should not touch Ribeiro or Plekanec's lines because they've been excellent. I'm not sure about Lapierre though, he doesn't have much experience. I'd rather have Murray play centre on the last line.

our top 2 line has been Plekanec and Ribeiro ones , IMO Bonk is having a great serie and shown somes great offensive skills . And Id prefer Murray at center than Lapierre , because of the unexperience of lapierre .
